Trustfire flame 16340 - talk about a matched set!

Got a set of Trustfire Flames, unprotected version from DX.

Charged both to cut-off on the WF-188 and they were within 0.01V (4.16 and 4.17V). Put both a XR-E P4 warm white drop in to run as 2S and after an hour or so, both are 3.59V.

Popped both into MF XM-L, medium both can do 0.43A. Put into high and its 1.53/1.54A. Measured voltage again, both at 3.59V.

Oldbobk, they are not going to meltdown in your pocket. They can sustain 2.3-2.5A for the first minute in the MF 5-mode drop in (as used in a Solarforce L2m). No guts to try more than that. This particular drop-in can do 3A with the Solarforce V2 18650.

But anything more than that, any Li-Co 16340 is going to get hot, which will be extremely dangerous. Same for trying 14500 Li-Co in Xeno E03 XM-L (1.5-1.8A). But these are cheap enough to have fun in pocket rockets.

Else you'd need IMRs and even then you'd be limited to 3-5 mins runs producing useful efficient lumens due to heat build up/saturation in the drop-in + host. (prob a better idea to run on medium after that)
