Panavise 301 in store only $19.97 at Radioshack. You can check your local stores on their website for stock.
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12717861
I have helping hands and also have a normal (non articulating) vise. I guess I’ll add this one to the tinkering/soldering tool repertoire. Couldn’t pass this one up when I saw the price. I know some people are crazy about Panavises so I’m passing on this info for anyone that might be interested.

Ok, here goes; my first showdown. I’d like to try to post one of these once in a while, mostly for fun, maybe as part of a giveaway.
This was not a scientific test, for sure. My integrating sphere is not even close to calibrated, but it can give me relative output results; good enough for a showdown.
So here goes…
[image]
On the left is a generic 10W LED module in a WW tint (~3000K). It’s arranged in 3s3p, for a total of nine 1.1W emitters.
In the middle we have the ol’ standby, the trusty …
I know it’s not the most efficient nor the best emitter, but at 73cents each, it’s a really good value. Cheap and functions from 12V direct with just a 1 - 2ohm resistor in series.

Skyray SR5 with XML discounted at $9.99.
I own two of these similar hosts from other seller. not 100% sure it is the exact same host design. the bezel looks bit different.
even so, this is most catching P60 host in my eye.
edit to question below: well, my two are P60 host. since the one on the link has a little bit different look, I’m not so sure the entire inner design is the same as mine. but I’m quite sure it still a P60 host.
