Wrist watches. Post pics, if you EDC one!

The W-800H is an excelent budget watch. I really like mine too.

I just ordered the W800H from ebay for $15.99 w/ free shipping. Looks like a great all purpose watch.

I’ve got a Seiko 5 too. Been thinking about getting an Eco-Drive because you really need to wear the Seiko everyday to keep it wound.

With Eco-Drive it’s like a battery powered with charging from any light source. It’s less forgiving if you skip some days of not wearing (just leave it in lighted area). I’ve been looking at the same model as the one pictured too because it’s simple and clean looking. Also, it’s one of the less expensive models and it has the same size lugs as my Seiko 5 which i’ve bought few different straps for already.

@glenn,

That’s hard to beat for the price, I hope you like it.

I find myself wearing it more than my favorite watch because I use the dual time multiple times a day as my girlfriend is working over seas at the moment.

I like cheap watches so I’m not too fussed if they get banged up at work, maybe one day I’ll buy a dress watch but I don’t have any plans for one yet.

I like the style and the fact that it's cheap. If I scratch it up it won't bother me much. How is the green LED backlight?

The light is pretty good although its a little stronger in the bottom left corner but the rest of the display is bright and evenly lit up so its easy to read. If you press the light button it stays on for 2 seconds which is handy but even if you hold it down it will still turn off in 2 seconds, perhaps that’s a battery saving feature in case something is stuck up against it in a draw or somehow you manage to fall asleep with it pressed against something.

There was another similar one I wanted to buy (W-96H-1BV) when I bought this one but it was one or the other so I doubt I’ll buy one now, they are similarly priced as well.

Just checked that model out and I like the W800H's styling better. Glad I ordered that one :)

Also the W-96H-1BV's water resistance is 50 Meters vs the W800H's 100 meters. That a huge difference (like I need 100 meters! lol!)

Finally got it. Very cool for a cheapo watch! Great display and the green LED side light works well.

That’s definitely on my to do list. It’s a nice watch—very light and I like the clean looking markings.

My new Casima budget diver:

Don’t know how I missed this post until now!

I rotate between about 5 watches on a day to day basis, I just pick and choose depending on what I am doing that day.

First: Diesel DZ9041

Second: Fossil ME3019

Third: Seiko SND419

Fourth: Vestal ZR 2005

Fifth: Diesel DZ4165

I have a couple of others but they don’t get worn nearly as much.

Ezarc, nice collection, almost like mine :D!

I bought W800 as my first watch in years, so I was excited about it, didnt want to pay premium for G-Shock so I bought something thats bigger than regular budget watches and has 100m water resistance rating.

However, it started to reset its time once in a while either due to bad battery, bad circuitry or simply by getting jammed between my coat and backpack straps when taking on/off my backpack.
One day I was pissed at it being reset back to zero time again so I smashed it against concrete wall, needless to say that this watch only LOOKS tough while it ISNT tough, it disintegrated into lots of tiny pieces, I made a thread about it at WUS forums:

I wanted F91W for its price and legendary performance and simple features, bought one at the too good to be true price from Israeli seller and received fake one with disco LED lights built in.

Inbetween these two I bought DW5600 like yours and I love how it fits my wrist, perfect fit, perfect match, been good both in and outdoors and while rugged and bigger than regular watches, its still small enough not to get caught or entangled in various equipment that I get to work with.

I also bought DW9052 together with DW5600, its bigger, I had similar one some 15 years ago and lost it, so I wanted to have another one since it was really good, its my EDC watch. Its not the most comfortable around my wrist, but Ive got used to resetting the strap once in a while to get either tighter fit or looser fit, I also have to reposition it on my wrist to have the display looking where I want it to, not an issue with DW5600 since its almost always 100% perfectly aligned on my wrist.
But I do love both of them :D!
I call my DW9052 “The Shrek” due to its ear-like button guards :D!

And once you start to wear a wristwatch, you never go back to cell phone as your time-telling-machine, at least I dont and I wont :D!

Oh, I also bought cheapo analogue Casio watch for myself from Ebay, it cost me around 10$ shipped(bought lots of watches from same seller, Bondra, saved on shipping lots!), heres how it looks:

Its smaller in real life, not big, very discreet, never worn it tho :D!

Have Red Line watches come up in this thread yet? I bought a red-dial one to go with my Smart Electric, and liked it so much I also got a black and gold one. Less that a hundred bucks from Amazon or ebay, they gets lots of compliments.

I also have a couple of Luminox watches, which are nice but pricey. Not like a Rolex, but $400-$500 range. Nice stuff though, and bright enough trits in them that you can read by one at night once your eyes get adjusted.

Here is one of the Red Line watches, they come in all kinds of colors

@Glenn, I’m glad you like it

@Veer, Its a shame about the W800H playing up, I haven’t had any problems with mine at all.

I have the same problem but it’s my DW5600E that never seems to fit properly, I probably adjust it 3-4+ times as day. Just moving it 1 notch is the difference between too loose and too tight but I’m still wearing it daily and trying to get used to it. My W800H is a perfect fit though and feels a lot nicer to wear.

I also bought 2 fake F91W’s for about $2 each or something that the seller told me was genuine before buying and they ended up having disco lights as well, o gave both of then to my nephew. Then bought one from Aus for $14 and it was real.

My girlfriend (currently in Spain for work) bought a F91W only a few days ago for 2 Euro that was at some kind of stall, I told her it was fake and she was convinced it was real so I told her to hold down the bottom right button and tell me what it says on the display and nearly straight away she replied “CASIO”. I was surprised it was real for that price and told her she got a very good deal on it.

That 800 -series looks nice.
Does it have bigger LCD font size than in F91W?

Yeah the font size on it is a lot bigger, I don’t have the F91W here to take a pic though because I loaned it to my brother a few weeks ago.

I think my DW5600E has roughly about the same size font as the F91W for the main time digits, that’s the best I can show you at the moment.

My brothers watch (FT1000H-2AV) broke where the pins go in the bezel a few weeks ago, I’m looking for a cheap digital Casio watch (under $50) to buy for him for X-mas but haven’t decided on anything yet.

I don’t want to buy him one like mine so I’m open to suggestions if anyone has any.

lets see how many Casio's we can get on our wrists :) I've owned the G-Shock on the left since the 90's. I don't wear that one too often.

My sweetie bought me this one for my birthday a month or so ago. I love it!

Johnny, I love the textured face! Nice hands too! The numbers look raised. I like it!!

Just bought this one for my brother to wear as knock around at work, Ill give it to him for X-mas. I was interested in it myself but its too close to my W800H to have both.
