IS: Info/Announcements: Quad and Triple XP Series 20mm Copper Direct Thermal Boards (7/3)

Ohaya, IS tested them at 3A and got 820mAh, it’s understandable that they’d do better at 1A.

I ordered a 16340, 18350 and 18650 (and another XML2 5C1)…and they’re here TWO days later! Thank you guys, for the quick and excellent service, heck, just the chat with Calvin was worth the money!! He made sure an add-on to the order got shipped and that I got my BLF discount even though I’d forgotten to put it on there (again). With the whole China thing going on, it’s good to know we have an awesome battery supplier here in the US. 8)

tallboybass,

You do realize that I was mostly joking in my post, right :)?

Of course I do, but I think you were serious when you quoted the 942mAh@1A figure. I just wanted to point out that they use the much more difficult 3A test and it STILL came out almost to spec.

Calvin ran two tests on a battery I was interested in…While We Were Chatting!! Try getting Anyone else to do that!

BTW, thanks Ohaya for your number on the 1A test, that’s good to know!

Ok, just wanted to make sure :), and thank YOU for that info, and yes, IS (both Chris and Calvin) are great and run a great shop :)!

Thanks for the endorsement, just for clarification it's Craig and Calvin :P

Status update:

Kinoko IMRs have been sent to HKJ, awaiting his busy testing schedule.

Armytek full lineup is coming to Illumination Supply including the Wizard Pro Warms, we'll also be stocking the new Grizzly MT-G2 as soon as it comes out.

Limited selections of the Thrunite, Jetbeam, and Niteye line will also be making an appearance if they haven't shown up by the time of this post.

ohhh man I am loving that Armytek Grizzly.

Hoping to see a nice price on that.

The head will have to be HUGE in order to achieve the numbers they are putting up!

Shame they aren't being driven harder.
Another comment on Armytek, I spent the weekend camping, and the Armytek Wide got A LOT of use, more so than any other light I had on me (and I had a lot ;)).
It performed perfectly, and had one feature that put it over the top vs the Zebralight headlamp, which also came with me.
It had a nice deep pocket clip, so I could literally roll out of the tent, clip it on, and go.

Sounds like Vinh needs to get his hands on it!

A big downside to Armytek lights... they are not modable. The head is sealed, and IIRC Vinh was not able to mod a Barracuda.

I have to say the L4 is a must have light! Impeccable quality and performance. Super stuff!

Hope to ses Convoy L2 in the best future.

Looks awesome also.

We've been looking into these, the problem has been the battery tube tolerance differences and poor sales across the lineup in general.
