A Fake Sanrenmu Knife in Chinese Market GB-908

Recenetly there is a copy model of Sanrenmmu GB-908(even the hand work of this knife is not bad). Be Ware! Pictures as followed

As the sanrenmu has stopped produce the popular 9 seriers(the blade is too long according to Chinese Law)

and there is no signs that they will produce in the near future.

in this case, the price for 9 series surged a lot in Chinese Market, like the MC-962, the price before in Chinese market is around 40 RMB, now it goes up to 100 RMB.

So there is profit and market for fake ones.

for the other model which is still in production, there is almost no copies in Chinese Market

Anyway that knife you posted looks really nice, Ive never seen it in that color before, fake or not.

For now, Sanrenmu has no models with this color handle

there is some similar color knives from Enlan, they are :

1) L01-MCT

The fake GB-908 is a very nice looking knife. How does it compare to real SRM quality?

To bad that Sanrenmu discontinued production of the 9 series. I loaded up on several a month ago and now most are sold out.

Yes its too bad, I became interested in knives like this recently and missed out on the 9 series and the larger knives...

Anyway Im really happy with the EL01 (why isnt that stopped like the 962?) and I like the smaller knives for pocket carry.

Still, as FF said, that fake looks nice, Id like to get one, LOL.

even it is beautiful as showed in the pictures,

but as they use cheap material for the blade, the blade will not be durable

that is why Enlan produce the EL series knvies(EL01, EL02, EL03), some of them are similar to SRM 9 series.

The EL01 is my top pic in large folders and overall favorite pic among the 50 or so folders I just bought recently... but then Im going through my large knives appreciation stage at the moment.

Im not sure all of exactly what I have... its late and Id have to go digging. Im still waiting on a few knives to arrive but bought around 50 brand new knives within the past few months. I plan on doing an online photo slide pictorial real soon. Then all I have to do is add pics to the slide show when new knives arrive.

for this price, you can have a realy Sanrennmu 7 series knife.

ashuang0731, how do you know that your GB908 is fake and not left over inventory? Even the box looks legitimate (damn thats scarey!). Do you have an original to compare?

Yes, its very sad so why try to hide it?

Now is actually a great time to collect. The quality of certain select Chinese knives is no longer a secret and prices will continue to rise as their popularity increases. Im wondering if quality will drop when their demand surpasses their supply.
