Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

3 of my 4 original eneloops crapped during the last 3 months. They were 2nd gen. Never got to the advertised 1000 cycle time but it must have got at least 350-400 cycles of use. The head expelled some black powder in 1 cell and the 2 other cells had a somewhat waterish thick black liquid at the top.

I don’t know if my $5 ebay charger is to be blamed (it has cut off) or just plain day in day out use or draining it to a too low voltage that caused that.
Anyways, I will be soon in the market for a new set of eneloops so your valuable information will be well….INVALUABLE!

Sure thing Buddy I’ll post some pics as soon as am back home.
They where purchased from Amazon.com and sold/shipped through them also. Plus delivery was fast till it arrived to my forwarding company in NY.

good to know this

1000 cycles is probably in perfect “lab” conditions… for example, perfect temperature, charging cells at .2c and discharging at 200ma, never overcharging or over discharging… of course real world is going to be something less

i would be satisfied if i got 350+ cycles

i have 8x 3rd gen aa cells coming today

I have some eneloops for sale as well.. for anybody who is interested.

Here are some pics that i snapped (crappy photographer :stuck_out_tongue: )

wow.. those pictures are oversized!!! please make them smaller..

Just wanted to share the latest and greatest Glamorous eneloops,

available from November 29 2013 in Japan.... I take pre-orders.... Just kidding.

8 packs and 4 packs.

BK-3MCC/8GL GL stands for Glamorous

even thought you are joking I would take at least 1, maybe 2.

I think 8 unique colors like the Color Tones and Tones Glitter, and Choco tones would be nicer..

I can see those pictures from here and my computer isn’t even on.

On November 29, they will also add a 8pack of eneloop Pro.

They used to only sell them in 2s and 4s.. but now also in 8s

Is that the same as the “XX Eneloop”?

Hi, yes.. They are the same..

these are the 3rd gen XX now...

they were available already since April, but only in 2packs and 4 packs..

Very nice.

I wonder if Costco will carry the latest "Panasonic" Eneloops. I'd like to get some..

Maybe everyone has already seen this, but Amazon has Eneloops, 8 AA for $16.98, 8 AAA for $15.99. Might be interesting if you order enough stuff to reach the $35 free shipping. 1900 maH/1500 charges variety.

to whom it may concern

the official Eneloop Gemany FB page is this one:

i asked them about 4th gen cells and they said that the release be not planned yet therefore they could not tell me any specific date blablah ballaballa.

anyway i expect to see them in Europe on April 1st 2014 ;)

Can anyone comment on whether these Eneloop AAAs on Amazon are 3rd gen The description looks right but the crown in the pic seems off. I have never owned Eneloops and I want to try them out.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,

Read this at cpf:http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?362641-Confusion-of-each-Eneloop-generation&p=4323530&viewfull=1#post4323530

They seem to have 2nd gen wrappings in 3rd gen packaging.. some say the batts are 3rd gen but something went wrong with the transition from 2nd gen to 3rd gen, an placed the wrong wrappers.

I'm also selling real eneloops, the latest available,4th generation 100% the real deal!

If you are interested see my for sales thread here on BLF.

Don't buy through this link.

smells fishy to me.

I get my blister-with-blue-case Eneloops through the Europa importer iCell Limited.
