Harley Davidson Multi-tool Pliers OEM by Ganzo

Mammut is just the brand. That's a copy of old style leatherman.

Roger that, it's a Wave copy. Still interesting to me.

Sorry that was ambiguous, I meant that second link to aliexpress is copy of original leatherman.

OK, gotcha. Here's another original leatherman version to throw in the mix. I guess there are quite a few out there. But since the Mammut is the only budget tool with which some folks here have any type of positive experience, I'd be reluctant to venture much further.

I will have some G301 in my hand tomorrow and will upload some pictures by then.

and maybe the latest G708 folding knives from GANZO too.

here is another pliers OEM by Ganzo(claimed by Ganzo).

but there is no logo on the pliers itself. Does anyone know it is for which brand?

Frankly, this one is the best I like from all the Ganzo products

as showed here:

David, perhaps some of the Tekut series of multitools? Ganzo is already a very common product across much of the world and is available very cheaply in North America.

Tekut does have some multitool. I have seen some of them. but their quality is not as good as Ganzo, Ganzo is more prefessional in the pliers area(and Tekut is more expensive). like Sanrenmu is more professionla than Tekut in Folding Knife area(Tekut is also much expensive than SRM). But Basically, Tekut's knife worthes the price. and not a bad choice for collection of Knife fans(they use nice steel for the blade, 7Cr17mov).

by the way, you mentioned Ganzo is available very cheaply in North America. do you know the normal price of Ganzo G201B, G202B, 3029PB there (including shipping cost)?

thank you for yout time and suggestion

david

In north america, people have found their tools (stanley brand is prolly most common) for ~15-20usd retail at the lowest, but they're not as common as they used to be since the lower priced suppliers have seem to switch to even less expensive (and probably worse quality) OEM's, and retail stores are going for the cheap name brands like Gerber suspension/ Leatherman kick ~30.

For example, this to me looks like a ganzo:

http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-84-519K-12-in-1-Multi-Tool/dp/B001LUMZHO/ref=sr_1_57?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1308874593&sr=1-57

I've been trying to find a newer one locally with the tools on the outside, but no such luck.

The tekrut tool with giant knife looks pretty decent to me.:

I could probably go to any number of local retail stores in Canada (ex. Walmart, Zellers, Canadian Tire) and pick up a re-branded Ganzo MT for under $20 CDN and in many cases closer to $10-12 on sale.

If it is the price for Mulitool with Ganzo Logo. the price out there is lower than the retail price in China.

As Ganzo is trying to build his owm Brand in China. they add a lot to their price for the brand's value.

for the Latest new models, G301 and G708, the standard retail price in China is 235RMB and 138RMB repectively(equal to 36.72 and 21.58 USD)

They may use different material for OEM products from their owm brand products.

Do you know of any that might be sold in the US, with the outside opening tools?

I have ordered both of them. they are on the way to my company. I am supposed to have them tomorrow.

and I will update some picture in anothe topic: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/2671

Thanks for getting us pics. I actually directed the question to jekostas, we just happened to post at the same time.

I think it was strange too that ganzo costs so much in china, they obviously charge Stanley a lot less. That tool from target only costs $10 online + shipping.

Don't know any off of the top of my head, but I'd check the hardware or outdoors sections of any major big-box retailer like Wal-Mart or Target and you might stumble across some. Or a big hardware store like Lowes, they have a Ganzo re-brand for $5 listed on their website.

10USD for cost of the tool itself is normal

as the Multi tool is heavy, the shipping cost may cost 9 USD with registered mail.

The thing is, ganzo probably only got like $5-6usd of that $10. That includes retail margin.

I went there yesterday, actually looking for the "Appalachian trails" tekrut rebrand (was selling with a knife and crappy flexlight for $20 total a while back). A year ago these were really common, but now not so much for some reason. Didn't see any Coast (tekrut) at walmart either.

I just talked with the production manager of Ganzo and talked about the price difference between OEM products and Ganzo Brand products.

his answer is like this: the material, the standard and Hand work is different.

in Chinese market, the Ganzo products are much more expensive than OEM products made by Ganzo

Yeah, I kind of figured that, but thanks for verifying. It's good that they're trying to establish their own brand with quality merchandise. I always thought it was pretty unfair wherein a $20 product, the store gets almost $10, the name brand label gets $5, and the OEM does all the real work for the rest. Direct marketing online is the future of sales anyway. Amazon for example charges very reasonably to list products alongside big$ marketed ones and lets the customers review and pick which is best.
