Incredible. Thanks to everyone for being part of BLF! Even the spambots, thanks for artificially raising our post count!! ;)

Things have sort of exploded this year - we've gone from a couple of hundred to closer to a thousand! Thanks folks for making this a fun place to be.

Cool Beans! I just found this forum today. I've been reading CPF from time to time for a couple of years, but have found that they tend towards the more pricey side. I like to consider myself a bargain hunter, and it seems that high lumen LED flashlights are finally becoming available at a more reasonable cost.

I had no idea I would be 1000, but I am honored to be amongst you all. I have much to learn. I've been searching the site for a list of the groups favorites, but so far haven't found it.

Am I really 1000? How can I tell?

Welcome to BLF scubaduderon!

I don't know but welcome anyway!

Thanks Boaz, Davx and EDC. I'll be asking a lot of newb questions that have been answered a hundred times, but I'm not too lazy to hunt the old posts, its just that technology changes so quickly and there are so many new products being introduced. It seems like posts a couple of months old are too old to trust. |( ...

I'm very surprised to find that the last charger I bought, the Maha-9000, is still being recommended. Its got to be about a year and a half old! I guess I did a good job researching that one.

Thanks in advance for all of your help,

Ron :)

You can't really tell, but since we've had people watching pretty close all day, I'd be inclined to believe them.

To get you started, we've got lots of fun going on around here

We've just finished the voting on the latest manufacturers custom light ("BLF edition") for the next group buy. It's a Tank007 E07 multimodal. Review, Match's mod here, vote thread here.

Wiljen is organizing a (North American) buy for QTC pills over here (useful if you choose to do an infinitely-variable mod on the E07 or any other twisty light.

Other than that, just hang out, read whatever, and ask if you need anything. And watch out for the guys in the knife forums. They'll get you hooked if they can!

How Do i know you're the 1000th member ?? well I looked at the time that qrx (1001)signed up and you were a few minutes before him .. unless someone really wanted it badly and was really quick..yer the man ..

I can get a blade pretty darn sharp. Hair popping sharp... I have seen a knife post that I wanted to join, but I don't know how to post pics here and don't really have the time that is required to do it right. But I did take the pics... LOL

Ron

Meh. pics is easy-peasy. guide is here budgetlightforum.com/node/14

You need an external host for your images. I use imgur.com since it's drag'n'drop and dead simple to use.

(not just saying this to be helpful. I've got a SRM knife on the way and am going to need pointers!)
