ashuang0731,

If you get a moment, pm me the link and price too....that knife is gorgeous! Or, better yet, post it here. I know a few people would buy one in an instant. (I'm looking at you, fishinfool!)

I'm now seriously wondering what people around here are doing with a kerambit.

(Yes, I know it's pretty)

Personally I plan on taping 3 to each hand while wearing yellow spandex....

So your hair is already done?

Well they do have a convenient slot to holster your budget light.

I like what you're doing

Keep up the good work!

Due to UK law we can only EDC folding knives with under 76mm blade length and no lock (i.e. slipjoint, etc.), such as the Sanrenmu AO-H02. I keep drumming on about it but we really do need a decent knife, at Sanrenmu type prices, similar to either the Boker Trance 42 or the Boker Plus XS (but with a slightly shorter blade).

VFMaddict: ouch. That leaves me with a bunch of questions that can be summed up as: what counts as EDC there? (eg. can you buy a bigger knife for camping/fishing as long as you keep it in your trunk in urban areas? Are the limits only on folders, and you can get reasonable sized fixed blades? What the heck do you take with you when you scuba?)

On another note, I think the Y-start knife he just posted is a great little hiking knife. It's not pretty or glamorous, but I'd be sorely tempted if I wasn't over budget for the month.

We can own almost all knives (fixed blade or folders); expect flick-knives, OTF knives, Gravity Knives, Thrust Daggers and Concealed knives, such as those hidden in pens or buckles.

It is Public Carry that is restricted without "good reason". So for example, if I'm on the way to camping or a bushcraft event or diving or if I'm at work and its needed due to my job, etc., I have "good reason" for carrying any knife of the type needed for that activity. But I can't carry one just because "I might" go to one of those events. Neither can I carry it in my vehicle because, "I might", need it for one of those activities.

The one type of knife that is an exception, meaning that I can carry it as an edc without one of those types of "good reason", is a non-locking folder of less than 76mm blade length. However, even then one must be careful because where you carry it to could mean you fall foul of our Offensive Weapons law. A Sanrenmu AO-H02 would be OK for edc in general but take it to NightClub and it might still be classed as having been taken specifically as an offensive weapon, because who needs one of those in a NightClub.

Hope that gives you a better understanding of UK knife laws.

I am not very familiar with the laws about knvies in UK. Just know that it was not allowed to buy knives in Ebay for UK people.

But I do have shipped some folding knives with the blade length more than 76mm (like this one http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/703556/210411856-379147353/OEM-Classic-440-Blade-Wood-Handle-Folding-Pocket-Camping-Knife-w-Nylon-Sheath-Businesss-Gift.html ) and fix blade (like this one : http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/703556/210996286-376827762/SR-012B-Black-Jungle-Hunting-Suvival-Fix-Blade-With-Nylon-Sheath-Knife-Collection-Gift-free-shipping.html ) to UK with no problem. we shipped via the Hongkong Post Air Mail with registered mail.

Maybe I am lucking enough or UK custom is not very strict with packages sent via post system(not commercial express).

for now, the only country that have problem to send knives to is Australia. folding knives with blade which can be opened by flipping you hand and fix blade with double edgesis definitely not allowed to be imported to Australia.

I lost a lot of money because of this. 0:)

in this case, for Sanrenmu series, maybe just A169, C117, C142 and H02 series(AL-H02, AO-H02 and AH-H02) suit for UK customers.
