If anyone's interested, there's a mini-Makerfaire in Vancouver this weekend. In addition to tech hacks, artsy weirdness and such, they've got a chance to do some hands-on soldering of EL wire and kits to make your whole bike frame glow in the dark.

Sadly, yes. Talks broke down again, so no little yellow envelopes for me in the near future.
In some ways, that's actually kind of good. I've got an itch to buy Chinese knives now, and I can't scratch yet.
