eX-cell 3100mah Panasonic based protected 18650 cells. Highest capacity worldwide!

Redforest UK,

These look like outstanding cells. They got me thinking of a few new builds now... Thanks for offering these.

Hi RedForest.

I would be interested in purchasing some of these cells, and just wondered if you could give an update as to how many you have left. Still nine as per post #18?

Thanks

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Sorry, but I only have 5 left right now, and 2 to 4 are pending sale at the moment. I can sell you 3 at the most I think, as the other buyer has only declared solid interest in 2. I am still trying to organise another relatively small shipment until sales pick up a bit so I may get a few more in a while.

On another note. I would like to make clear that my supplier has just confirmed to me that they did not fit 2.8v PCM as I originally asked but instead used the 2.5v ones recommended by Panasonic and used by Redilast and AW in their 2900 cells. This may explain why the PCM did not cut-off in my tests, I only measured down to 2.56v. I would still imagine it could be bypassed by a very low current draw however, and it should not make much difference in regulated/high current lights as when the cell hits 2.5v in those and the PCM cuts in it should quickly bounce back up a bit to a higher voltage.

However, if you have already purchased any of these cells from me and are unhappy with this new development please contact me and we can work out a returns process for a full refund. I hope it won't be seen as a big problem, but I do not want to have mis-sold these cells in any way as that has never been my intention.

Red,

Many thanks for your quick response - much appreciated.

Three would be fine - if you continue to import these, I can always get more later on.

Please PM me your paypal e-mail address, and I'll make payment.

Thanks again

Stephen

ps - does this forum have the five post minimum before you can receive PMs?

I have sent you a PM Stephen, I don't think there is any minimum post count before you can receive/send PMs on this forum. I find it much more informal and trusting, in a good way :)

So, just to be clear, how many, if any are left? If possible I will take 2.

Thanks

VegasF6: I have replied to your PM.

To make it clear for everyone else, all 5 remaining cells are currently accounted for, they are pending sale not certainly sold yet though. Vegas is next in line for any that become available.

I am hoping to arrange another shipment of 20 cells with my supplier but that is not certain either, and I don't have the money to order 100 in one go so we will see..

Consider three sold - I have your PM and am making payment now.

Edit - payment now sent.

Payment received, I'll get them sent out on Monday! :)

Status:

0 left available.

2 on hold.

Many thanks.

Ok, I have 3 cells again available after a planned trade deal changed to all cash. I have messaged someone who expressed interest but they are available for back-up if he backs out.

I am posting to say that while the first stock is basically sold out, I have the opportunity to order a minimum of 40 more cells. I have just been hit with a larger customs fee than expected with what I see as an excessive 'signing off' fee by Fedex, and am not rich/wealthy so in all honesty I'm not all that keen to plough more money into a venture that hasn't really been all that worth it. However, if there is interest for a number of these cells then I will make another order, and they can be available again.

So basically, if you are interested in purchasing some/more cells, or even think you may be, then please post here in the next 18 hours or so as that is when I will decide whether to make another order. If not, then I won't, but it'll have been slightly fun and certainly a learning curve doing it once, if also quite stressful.

I probably should have posted here that I backed out. Redforest has been great to deal with in this situation though, I sure woud love to see him succesful in this venture.

As near as I can tell, you are pretty much the only source for these in the UK and Aus. It's tough to make it as the little guy but I am thinking if you can buy 40 more and continue to make a profit you should!

Good luck!

Hi Redforrest. I would be up for a few more of these. I did a quick discharge test and posted results (on that other forum). They are sweet and for the UK at a great price.

Super quick delivery, no waiting a month for these...

Hi Redforrest,

I would also like to buy a few more...

Nice cells and top tailcapreadings on my powerlights! (hope I don't blow up my UF980L

Many thanks for the superfast delivery to Belgium

Red,

Just a quick message to let you know that the batteries arrived safely - many thanks.

Great, I'm glad you're both pleased with them, and that they all seem to be arriving ok :) Papalumen is first in line for the last 3, as he posted first, but I'll message you afterwards Thommy if they're still available.

Paypal sent..

Again, thanks for doing these.

Last 3 sold to Papalumen! I'll post here if any more become available, thanks everyone for buying them, and for your interest.

Two words.

A lot!

Only complaint - they are a little wider and shorter than most protected 18650s. Only light I've tried them in that they wouldn't work (or fit) so far is the Trustfire TF-R2. But I'll try them in the other 18650 lights I own. They fit in all the P60 lights I've tried them in so far.
