Recieved your september packages?

I just filed almost a dozen disputes total with 7 different vendors this morning. More to be filed as the days pass. I will wait to the last couple days to escalate.

Wow.. that is a lot of slow packages ImA4Wheelr! Sorry to hear that, at least you are in good company with several others..

While this is not surprising, considering that not so long ago almost everything coming from overseas took 6-8 weeks, it is now becoming frustrating. In the past, any mods or lights I was ordering for were my own and there wasn’t a particular rush to get the stuff. Plus, I’m so forgetful that the amount of time it took was hardly noticed. But I have recently been doing a few mods for friends and it’s very very frustrating when simple parts don’t come in and I can’t finish something I started.

Something as simple as Silicone insulated 22ga wire can be a big set-back…can’t find anything close anywhere in my area. Start a project thinking you have enough wire to finish it and find out there’s 3 times more wiring inside than expected….aaaagghhh!

On the forgetful page, I can get a mod all figured out, order the parts…sometimes from the necessary different vendors…and by the time everything comes in I’ve forgotten the game plan! lol, Yeah, I know, I need to write it down, blueprint it, have a plan, yada yada yada. Then I’d be lucky to find the blueprint. :stuck_out_tongue:

On the plus side, I’m getting my exercise! The round trip walk to the mailbox is 534 yds, if the mailman hasn’t come yet I get to do that 2 or 3 times a day! Getting more fit even as I get more grey. :stuck_out_tongue:

The Chinese holiday + FastTech slow shipping threw my packages way off course.

Shipments from the US have taken two weeks to reach here, compared to a week for FT to just send an item out.

I have not received anyone of the missing September packages in OP... Just filed another dispute.. More to be filed in the upcoming days if none of the packages arrive.

Any luck with all your slow packages ImA4Wheelr?

How long to you guys wait before escalating from dispute to claim? Its now 50 days since I ordered the package I have waited for the longest. Never had a package that slow before..

I'm still waiting for two packages ordered 29. Aug. (and missed the paypal limt for the claim) and one which is shipped on 15.09. They packages include only knives, not li-ion batteries.

One claim resulting in refund. One dispute open. Two orders at day 34 & 35.

I have delay from Fasttech (24 days and does not appear Track in HKpost).
2 delays also from Ebay.
:weary: :weary:

I'm done with China now because their shipping SUCKS! I'll pay more and buy from USA sellers only from now on. I say that because it takes forever now for packages to arrive, that's IF they arrive...

It's a mixed bag for me. I was able to close 2 disputes because orders arrived in the last couple days. Most of the disputes I filed were closed by the seller refunding me. In their responses, they said the package could not clear security and were returned to them. It would have been nice if they would have told me that before I waited until the last minute to file a dispute. For the remaining 4 disputes, I'm waiting on until the last day or two to escalate.

I was too late to dispute on a few orders. One is a $70+ order with FT. We'll see what they do.

I will probably be filing a good half dozen more disputes if they do not arrive in the next week.

+1

Which stores did not inform you about this?

Was this normal packages, or anything with li-ion or something special?

I got a parcel of 30 diamond 4mm burrs bought off a Hong Kong based ebay seller on 16th October on 26th October via Hong Kong Post.
It’s just a lottery at the moment, I’ve got orders from the end of September still outstanding from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, FastTech, TMart and ebay. there’s no logic to it at all.
It’s like they stick a container full of old mail in with the new every so often and give it a good stir. :email: :email: :sushi: :email:

My September packages all arrived, but it's the early October ones that I am concerned about. During that time, the packages sent to the post office from the sellers, arrived at the post office, but there was such turmoil at the time, that they do not show ever being received, nor will they. The post office did not have any tracking system going on at the time and their organization seemed to collapse, so no one knows where the packages are. We're talking a major screw up here. Think of how many packages these people do in a day and then realize that none of them can be traced.

I have talked to several of the sellers that I have worked with and they all say that they will not refund until it's been over 50 days minimum, after that, they will refund. Now, if the package comes back, they sometimes refund, sometimes send it again, sometimes sit on it and that's where I think they fail, but it is what it is. They all know of the Paypal 45 day rule, but they stick to their 50 day or longer time before they refund. They have said, "you need to see it from our side" and my reply is, "it's my side that I'm worried about". With Paypal having a 45 day rule and with these guys waiting till over 50 days, they and us will continue to have heated discussions with no resolutions.

There does not seem to be a resolution, but something like this mess seems to happen almost every year over there and it's always in the latter part of the year. I don't think they will ever get it together, but if the Lithium situation continues to be pressed upon them from nations like the USA and from the airlines, then most certainly, (in my mind), it can only get worse.

I intend to contact each seller, (that I have orders with), at the 40 day mark and tell them that I will obey Paypal policy and dispute the orders at the 45 day period. From now on, I will follow Paypal procedure and sellers can either get with that program or they can take it on the chin. It is not our fault that we have to abide by the 45 day rule, but not following it means that we would have to trust the sellers to refund on their schedule and I do not trust my neighbor, let alone some anonymous person halfway around the world and I don't feel I should trust them completely either.

Nothing to worry on seller’s side about the 45 days PP versus 50 days. After the 45, dispute still has another 20days window. And after that, up to 30 days for Claim to be reviewed and settled.

Say buyer starts dispute at day 42, then wait another 18 days to escalate to Claim, that’s already 60 days. Well over 50 days seller’s deadline. And if buyer receive the order, even under Claim status, the dispute can immediately be closed without problem.

My advise is just to follow standard protection window and both buyer and seller should be fairly dealt with. And to be fair to seller, if you do receive the item after refund anyway, you should really consider paying for it.

These sellers agreed to Paypal’s policy when they accepted our money.
They want 50 days? Fine.
They can have a paypal dispute at 44. Just don’t raise it to a claim till at least 6 days later. That is 50 days.

Since I have additional orders that may likely get disputed, I prefer to not name names. Even though they should have told me without being pressed by PP, at least they are not fighting the dispute. I don't want to discourage that level of cooperation.

The orders did not include batteries or anything special. Mostly parts for modding and some lights.

Have not received any of the missing September packages yet...

Received another October package today, from IOS (arrived in 27 days, which is way slower than average).... In comparison, still waiting for packages from IOS ordered in the middle of September (43 days ago)..

I received a big batch of September orders yesterday. Ranging from 9/5 to 9/25. Closed my disputes on all of them. Now I only have 1 dispute outstanding with Manafont.

I was too late to dispute 3 orders with:

  • CNQG
  • FT
  • FocalEcig

FocalEcig told me the order was returned to them and they have told me they have reshipped it. FT tells me to keep waiting. CNQG has not yet responded to me.

My MF order arrived before I had to go the paypal route.

Intl-outdoor packages arrived yesterday. Closed disputes. (Two different Oktober orderes from IOS arrived before the mid September packages)

I have gotten refunds from Fancyflashlights. The first/oldest order is now 60 days old, I have pretty much lost hope so Im considering to reorder, but with tracking. The other one was never marked shipped and I newer got a reply from customer service after waiting for weeks..

Still waiting on orders from T-Mart and FT (ordered 54/52 days ago).

My 1 cent lights are at day 44 & 45. I'll let these go without filing a dispute.
