Intl-Outdoor - less flashlights?

What’s happened to Intl-Outdoor? He barely has any flashlights left!? If you look under 1000+ lumens, there’s only two. Used to be a lot mot.

The prices there are often a bit higher than the competition, so it's better if he carries lights that we want and competitors don't have even if that means carrying fewer lights. At least I don't see the point in selling lights we don't really want for a higher price than other well known vendors.

Several drivers have gone missing as well... :(

I heard a whisper about an interesting new driver being developed.

cant remember the vague details and I’d rather let hank post up specs that me post up guess work

IOS seemed to be simply fading away with stock lowering by the week, looks like a clearance. There is only one single host left, only few lights, drivers don’t get stocked anymore… HKJ is just testing several drivers that are not on sale anymore.

I’d be very sad to see Hank go for good, I’m very happy with his service and his very exclusive and hiQ brands (Noctigon, Qlite, XinD). Afaik he’s even the only one to sell a Nanjg 110 at the moment.
I was quite afraid the mailing problems or some competition is pushing him out of business. But the shop still ‘lives’, he responded very fast and helpful - as he always did - when I e-mailed him a week ago.

Perhaps he just focuses more on unique products, like he did with the triple emitter noctigons. I definately hope for the best. And a new driver always sounds good…

He’s got the best selection of copper-sunk emitters around, and I have not found a MT-G2 for less than what he charges. I read reviews on some of the lights he carries and I really want all of the 26650 lights he has in stock, I’m just not in a position financially where I can justify a $50 non-monster light, even if it’s superb quality and perfect OTB.

I just placed a second order for parts from him, I hope he stays around.

Or perhaps he’s waiting for his stock to get to a threshold before he reorders?

I would like it if he kept to a lower specialty item stock instead of flooded with the typical junk. If I need drivers, copper stars, or switch boots, he is my go to store. Also, if/when I order XinTD lights, he would also be my go to

Would be a shame if he lets his store die out. Dont know what to do if Noctigons, qlites and my blue boots could not be sourced

Dont think they "leaked" the database files. They did not have the proper permissions set to the directories with the sensitive data. Yes, not good... But highly doubt it caused anyone any serious problems

edit: added quote before its deleted and it looks like I am randomly bringing up old news

Plus there’s the paypal option.

I’m hoping it’s just a lull while he’s waiting for new stock, especially high current drivers. I’m hoping he has a line on some quality custom IOS drivers.

I finally decided to jump on an upgrade for my 7x-XML S7 light and the IOS site doesn't have the high-power multi-emitter driver listed any longer... I guess it's time for me to make an order via KD instead while I still can...

Frown

LED TOP LAWYERS ?

This is worrisome.
Nothing beats Noctigons. Red soldermask, totally flat back, wide traces. Really feels like a premium star. Hell, its fracking gold plated.
Not a fan of sinkpads at all (v1 or v2).

Looks like he is aiming more for the flashlight enthusiasts and finding items that sells well. Especially for those who are into modding. I think Hank is doing well. Seems to be one step ahead of the competition when it comes to getting various items many desire... He is taking a lot of my money, that is for sure.

-Noctigons

-Lots of popular emitters (mounted on Noctigons)

-Qlite drivers

-Custom P60s and Xintd lights

There is no need for Hank to put a high focus on flashlights and campaigns when there is so much price competiton around flashlights from a bunch of others stores. Its better that he focus on what we want and maintain his good customer service instead of selling a bunch of flashlights with minimum profit.

I would like to see more drivers and hosts though, they seem to be disappearing..

Usually when this store gets a new item its a good one. :)

Last week I asked Hank about the missing high current drivers:

His response:

I think I got the last 4.5A driver... :(

Oh boy... I got like 3 of the 4.5A's in recently, but also got a couple of the LCK-LED 5A ones too. But this is scary - he's got some niche items. The LED's and Noctigons are unique, specially at those prices. I've gotten some good deals from him too, but he's been the most consistent supplier from day one for me.

I hope that he stays in business as he does offer some unique products at good prices and as always been very good to deal with. I love my XinTD V4, Noctigons are awesome, qlites rock, and he is a good source for silicone wire and other small items.

When listed items in his web store starting to reduce, I still see him login in Blf few times (up to this week).
I think he will listing new items.

Even going back a year ago, I used to buy all sorts of accessory items that slowly dissapeared from his listings. I'd hate to add up how much I've spent there, but still over the year he's added a few important things like Noctigons Smile.
