Intl-Outdoor - less flashlights?

Even going back a year ago, I used to buy all sorts of accessory items that slowly dissapeared from his listings. I'd hate to add up how much I've spent there, but still over the year he's added a few important things like Noctigons Smile.

I sure have done my best to keep him in business. I know I have spent at least three hundred bucks with him this year. Great business and I have nothing but good to say about them. I’m hoping to buy a bunch more soon.

I just counted $1,100 in the last calendar year going quick thru my IOS order summary, ouchy!

Which mailing problems? The part about him having extremely slow shipping until recently, or the recent change being masked by the international shipping problems that have affected most companies? Fwiw, I had one package delayed to the max, over the max actually because I accidentally let it go past the dispute time limit, so now I get nothing unless he decides to do the right thing even if Paypal isn't forcing him to.

It’s a great store with fantastic items, unfortunately my last order with the MT-G2s has taken considerably over a month to show any tracking. I was getting worried but finally it’s in the country so should have it soon.

Thinking of placing another order with him now but worried it will take this long again, anyone ordered in the last few weeks and gotten the item already? Has the chinese backlog cleared up somewhat or still slow?

I also had a couple of slow orders which I am blaming on the overall China shipping situation. My last two orders arrived in under two weeks, with one of them being 8 days total.

Cheers, that sounds promising

My last order from IO was ordered 9-08, shipped 9-10 and arrived 9-30. So it was 20 days in transit.

No, the shipping label was printed on 9-10. With any of these companies ’Shipped” just means they bought the postage.

Well, no point in me ordering a bunch of XM-L2 and MT-G on Noctigons if I can’t get any drivers to push them. This is totally screwing up my plans.

Well, I was speaking to Hank about some other things and thought I would put your minds at ease.

I asked him whether he was closing down…

His response:

“No, we’re not closing down, only to adjust our business model.
We will be aiming more for the flashlight enthusiasts and provide
them with featured and unique products.
Currently, some innovative driver projects are under developing, it
really takes our time and energy, and I hope they will be released soon.

Regards!
Hank”

He also said:

“But please do not expect the drivers can be available soon,
the samples are under testing, and we are still not sure if there
will be further issues to be fixed.”

So it looks like pretty good news to me. I only use IOS for components and have been very happy with every order I have got from them. So will be good to see what comes out in the future!

That’s great! It would be horrible if he shuts down. I’ve always got unbelievable good service from him. For example I ordered the Roche M170 but there was something strange about the ramping mode so I contacted him and he said that I can send it back. So I did and bought the Terminator instead with a small discount! But right now I still miss the drivers and other things he had that are gone now :frowning:

Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if the HKP (and others) fiasco damaged him a little…

I agree, he always responds to my emails almost immediately, is always accommodating and helpful. His prices aren’t the very cheapest but they are more than acceptable and the quality is superior to the rest more often than not. I have bought a heap of emitters on noctigons, drivers, button boots, wires, gaskets… the list goes on and have never had any issues and it has always been great quality.

I can’t believe he has called himself a name that a dyslexic person would have a field day with!

The thing is, as I understand it, that Word is not used much outside the UK, so only a few of us get what your saying.

Hank Wang……

Change the first letters around!

You might want to Google his first name after the swaparound………

whew, I was worried reading this thread at first…

Got one dropin on the way.

I think that’s what it’s called.

My order just took 5 and a half weeks to Australia. Longest ever for any of my flashlight orders.
I was starting to think Oz customs might have held it up because of the thermal grease syringe.

Anyhow, it did get here (and I love my little XINTD C8 V4 XM-L2 U2)

Good to hear that, but wonder why is the 4.5A buck driver discontinued? I thought it was one of the best-selling drivers he has?
