Third party price often doesn't come w/ free shipping, and frankly I have a hard time believing it sold for $1.50 considering the batteries are worth more.
agenthex, I picked up the first one on your list based on recomendations from someone here. Pretty decent charger though I dont have much use for the low capacity AA's. I did receive free shipping thru Amazon
I havent tested the charger but I did buy 40 batteries when they were on sale last year for around $.30 each. IMO, not worth using even if they were given to me for free. They tested around 800mAh capacity and couldnt deliver enough current to drive any of my AA lights near their maximum. True that they were designed for extremely low current draw devices but useless everywhere else. I tossed them in with a battery charger that I sold.
I don't like that to get free shipping you have to buy something else ...All because they limit you to 3 of these .i'm not super keen on digging thru amazon looking for things to fill up my shopping cart ..to avoid an $8 shipping fee.
I wanted these chargers but missed this deal because of the stupid 25$ limit for free shipping..what a huge waste of time
Hoops to jump thru ,stupid games , and hidden costs .. waste of time searching for another worthless 7$ item to make this deal work .
What I used to do before I got Prime was to queue up some things I'm going to get anyway in the cart ("save for later"), so it's easy to pull the trigger on the lot when something under $25 shows up.
I am almost sure it was one of those deals were the shipping was 5 or 6 bucks, but otherwise the Camelizer is a really good way to find deals on Amazon.
Easily the poorest performing AA battery that Ive ever heard of. Im still wondering why they dont give these things away or even made them in the first place. I bought them to place in all my remote controls to protect them from alkaline acid leaks while freeing up my eneloops. Voltage was to low to even actuate most remotes. Alkaline batteries that were nearly dead were more useful.
I didnt take a tail cap reading with my DMM, suffice it to say that they werent worth the 30 cents I paid for each of them. Hot off the charger while using a XRE powered 1 x AA light, high mode was about the equivalence of medium mode on an eneloop and then declined rapidly after turn-on. So they probably delivered about 1/4 - 1/8th the current of an eneloop AA and droped drastically after the first minute. About like a nearly dead old Chinese branded alkaline with acid leaking out of it for the past 5-10 years. Hey! now that would make for an appropriate christmas gift to a CPF mod, so keep that in mind! LOL!
Cycling them actually decreased performance rather than improved upon it. Date code showed they were about 1 year old. These are good for slingshot ammo, nothing more.
