Lanyard material and pics ? >>

The shipping cost depends on the weight of the package.

Don't know how it is wright now, but last time I ordered(a year ago), it was "Shipping (Intl. 1st class 4 POUND LIMIT ONLY): $16.20" for eight 100ft packs.

Can't remember if they wrote the real price or not. Have to check the box. Unfortunately it is not near me right now...

I should have not read this thread... I have a feeling it will prove disaterous for my sleeping time (thank god paracord is not very expensive). I just happened to have 60 meters of 550 paracord laying around and last night I was up untill 1 AM tying monkey fists for keychains and some easy sinnets. I've had sime minor interest on this kind of knot tying in the past, but I never understood the instruction pics on paper, so I gave up years ago. But with all the videos around the web, I think I will start learning again.

Okay, dont mark me as spam, but I found and bought some mico-paracord on the Ebay.

Regular paracord is 3mm, the micro is supposed to be 2mm, so I hope it fits nicely in my 710.

I bought it because basically it was one of the cheapest places I could find to ship to Canada...and they had lots of colors.

Thanks for posting esrevenge, that stuff looks interesting. I've been using the County Comm tether line, but that stuff looks softer.

I found that 550 is doable for 707. You just have to remove couple of centimeters of the inner cord from the end of the line and it will go through the hole nicely. Did that to my 707. But later removed it as I realized I don't want my pocket knife to have any unnecessary bulk. I did put that lanyard to a flashlight though, where it fits better in my opinion.

Also I have put toghter some two-color monkey fist keychains and a two color sinnet bracelet I wear every day now. Jack is so right. This thing is addictive.

Ok, I play. But be gentle, these are my firsts. And those were the only colors I had. I actually like the combination. Nice militarish-but-not-overly-tactical-look.

Nothing wrong with those, in color nor in craftsmanship! Those are a man’s colors (all my paracord is olive drab). Nice work!

Here is a square braid lanyard I made the other day for my micromag

Now some of you will have a new addiction .

( And it's cheaper than lights or knives .)

You sure do some real sweet knot work, Jack! 8)

Very nice work Jack! Can you please let me know the name of the type of twirl weave instead of knot you used for the two pieces?

The knot closest to the knife is a Lanyard knot , ( it used to be called a boatswain’s whistle knot ), and the two keeper knots are called Celtic Button knots .

The clip is a stainless 25mm McGizmo . That and the two hole button adjuster came from Lighthound .

Thanks for letting me know - Im going to try to make the Lanyard knot...

As others have said, very nice work Jack! It's amazing how much a lanyard can dress up a flashlight or knife. This is yet another thing I'd like to try one of these years....

+1, its all part of the fun.

I was just about to buy the Enlan L02, but noticed at the last minute it doesnt have a lanyard hole :( ...since I really like lanyards its a tough call to get the knife or not...

Get it anyway , it is a very nice knife... and one of the few medium sized knives. The size and the pocket clip make it a must have in my not so humble opinion. ;-)

Got mine from BOB for ~$11 with 10% coupon.
