New 4XP Noctigon MCPCB for quad optic

I found some 0D LEDs I forgot about in my box of emitters. What kind of tint will they give me?

Terribly cool/blue unless you dedome them. Then they should be a nice relatively neutral tint, hopefully not much green either.
Give it a go and let us know

Only thing they are good for is de-doming -- they are cool blue... I like them de-domed though Wink.

Great. I just did my first de-dome and it’s pretty green. I’ll give one of these 0Ds a whirl.

What tint gave you the green after the dedome?

It was in a $16 light. It said XM-L U2, but it could have been anything.

CREE XP-G2 S2 2B available at Intl-outdoor.com.
2B is a great tint for a cool white as you already know by now.

The price is only $2.99 shipped on Noctigon XP16 V2 for 10pcs. You can try to make a micro-group-buy to reach that easily.

Ordered 10. Thanks Hank.

Thanks, 2B is Less cold than 1C.

We’ve got XM-L2 U2 2C, which we’ve always wanted to offer. This is a special cool white tint that is almost like a neutral white tint, rated 5350-5700K, one of the best cool white tints for XM-L2 U2. Check the new products page, http://intl-outdoor.com/index.php?main_page=products_new

Genuine Nichia NVSL219BT R85 D220 LEDs are now in stock. You can see the original label with the store’s name handwritten on it.
Color temperature according to Nichia’s SW45 chromaticity bin in the datasheet is 4260-4745K
We offer them bare, on Noctigon XP16 V2 and Noctigon XP20 direct thermal path MCPCBs.

We also have the brightest Red color XP-E2 LED (P3) on Noctigon XP16 V2 and Noctigon XP20 direct thermal path MCPCBs

Wow awesome timing. I looked on your website two nights ago to see if you had Nichia’s and was disappointed to see none. So this new addition is very welcomed.

Now… What to put them in…

Hi Hank,

thanks for stocking.
These Hi-CRI Nichias on Noctigon Triple please.
That would be awesome.

Why has the quantity been blurred out? :~ Can we know how many you purchased?

Yes please! I would like to be able to buy one or more of these with Nichias.

We blur all quantities on any LED, not for this LED only.

Excellent work Hank, and I have a challenge for you!

Cree has announced a new breed of XP class emitters, the XP-L! With 23% brighter output, this looks very interesting. See if you can be the first to offer these little beauts! (3 of those on a triple Noctigon would be supremely impressive!) These are rated at 3A capacity, and with 460 lumens at 1A minimum for the top V5 bin, can you imagine a trio driven well? Yowza!

Thanks in advance for all your effort and dedication, you’re very much appreciated!

XP-L? Google knows nothing about it…

Looks like Google has some catching up to do then…

Can you also get more amber LEDs, maybe on sinkpads?
