new to this an looking for advice

im somewhat new to the led flashlight game my craze for it is only about 8 months old. i like the 18650 lights because i can get batteries and lights for cheap most the time. probly knock offs but they look and work pretty good most the time. but my question is how do i find parts that will interchange. such as different heads, emitters, different switches, and so on and so fourth? sorry if i got anything wrong i’m still trying to learn is there a way to reference models or just go by measurement or what

P60 is very lego-able.
Without the battle-cruiser price tag and recognition, SolarForce is the poor-man’s SureFire.

Technically, any P60 emitter module/pill can drop into both torch brands.
Check out Vinhnguyen54’s P60 sales thread for options.

At BLF as it seems however, C8 is the most popular, with its superior thermal path and a several-times-bigger reflector. The Convoy brand of C8 is the way to go, displaying better craftmanship and a disconnection from the xxxxfire brands. I like SF more as it offers a large array of variations and add-ons, especially the belt clip and McClicky switch upgrade, while the C8 have but a few after-market options. If you build a fleet of C8’s with different emitter pills, that still count as being interchangeable.

The P60 and C8 are not compatible.

any specific thoughts on things that can be done to a c8? that looks good for what i like. awesome throw in other words. thats why i like those lights with the huge heads. and i also am not a fan of the 5 mode. looking for either just a high low or high low strobe that always returns to high so i was wondering what all i could do to get that. i have the ultrafire version on the way with a battery extension to i just dont know enough to find the right driver or emmiter and whatnot. thats the noob coming out
