That’s interesting; I placed an order on the weekend for the 1st light via the Shenzhen Wholesale web site, but it seemed kind of dodgy the way the payment takes place, so I decided not to go through with it.
Anyway, they sent me an email today;

I had already sent an email to cancel the order.
The original payment choices were either Western Union, or some other mob who I have never heard of - there was no paypal option, or no VISA option, even though they showed the VISA logo at the bottom of the main page…
Too dodgy for me - hopefully LightsCastle will get them in after a bit of interest in their thread , or another vendor.
Like seen early in this thread, I request it to WB. I also posted about it in the Lightscastle thread. And I sent a PM to BG. All vendors answered quickly, either in the weekend or early on Monday.
Hopefully someone will be able get it. :)

Looking at the photos closely, I’m pretty sure the reflector is plastic but we can hope.
I think that’s the only way to it works, when you complete the checkout it just sends an email and they get back to you with a order confirmation and paypal request. Not very professional but hey, if you can’t wait for this light then it may be worth risking it too.
The reflector looks like plastic, but imho it isn’t a big problem. You dont have to mess with insulation.
Maybe it is gonna exile the tn31/k40/x6 etc from the throne of throw for quarter investment?
Good point, the only plastic reflectors I’ve seen have been from really cheap crap lights. If it’s a good quality surface and produces a nice beam profile I guess I wouldn’t care either way.
And if it does suck there’s always the possibility of sticking one of those 64mm aspheric lenses in there instead

Take that for what it’s worth but hopefully that’s correct. Seems a bit strange to skimp on the lens and not the reflector but I dunno
I guess we won’t know for sure until the first ones start arriving in our mailboxes…
Good find, those high res pictures leave me with little doubt that the reflector in that sample is plastic.
Let’s see what is in the one that I actually get, received shipping confirmation today.
I cannot wait to see a tear down of this light. The UI sounds like an SRK, and if it is, it shouldn’t be too difficult in modding it to get more power out of it.
Confirmed I will be back home on 18 December. I am expecting two of these lights along a plethora of lights, bit and pieces to be waiting for me, ready to play with. I know I am late to modding month, but I will give it a crack in earnest cum December!
Someone should. You guys have been talking about and trying to buy this light for weeks, but it doesn't look like anyone has successfully completed an order.
It won't be me though. My modding queue is way too full. I'm actually considering sending some lights to v54.
I did manage to order it from SW after all… my tracking number suggests it left SG on 18.11.
I will report what’s inside when I get it of course (maybe next week?)
