I’d love to tell you, but as soon I could get a semi-stable reading I shut it off. It sure wouldn’t be long. That is way too much power for a light this small.
(I can hear the scoffs already over that last line. LOL)
EDIT: OK I tried it. It was uncomfortable after 3 minutes, but it was tolerable. I kept it on 3 more minutes and switched it back and forth between my hands. It was very hot, but it almost felt like I could keep that up indefinitely. Who knows... :) I wouldn't recommend running it for more than a few minutes, but I also wouldn't recommend a LiCo cell @ 1.8A. That's just too hard on the cell.
I received my Xeno E03 Warm Red yesterday. It really is a quality build light. Bright and mine has a very nice warm tint. Still like my Thrunite 1c, though. It has a way lower low than E03.
I Just bought the Red Cool white version, Will be my high output light on a mt hiking trip as I'm going lightweight now. will be leaving my Solarforce L2 with kadoiman XML drop in.
Do you think its bright enough as compared to the L2 with xml?
I have what is supposed to be the Neutral White Zeno, but I can't imaging a light being any warmer than mine is. It is rather nice, I like the warm beam, but it is pretty yellow, far from being neutral white.
I received a WW version today from Tactical HID and I'm very pleased with the color. I was expecting a darker brown/orange color but this light seems more of a what I would think a neutral tint would be. This is my first WW/NW so please keep that in mind. The hotspot is larger than my Eagletac P20A2 MkII XM-L which is good for what I want to use it for.
Tactical HID is receiving 65 neutral white versions next week and you can pre-order them now. The LED will be a XM-L T5 3C. According to their website they should ship between the 12th and 14th.
For those wondering about the tint of the warm version. As stated in my other post above I have a WW version and it is a XM-L T4 7B according to my packaging.
The tint of the WW is very good. No green tint and no pink hues.
Inteterested in the NW, but then its $5.99 from the USA (tacticalhid). Waiting for hkequipment's response whether they will carry the NW and WW, then it'd be good for the international buyers here.
Can just pop in a IMR 14500, 7.80 bucks a pair from bestinone with registered air mail (mitro tested, all are ok and are as good as AW's). 2.4A 5-min capable pocket rocket!
I agree. The tint is the best I've seen in any WW light (except the 90-cri XPG). I ordered from this new batch of NW as well. I have to stop these impulse buys! :)
Just for the record, I don't endorse the use of IMRs in the E03, but it sure is bright. :) The one I have I only use nimh in. I got the E03 for my wife and it lays around the house so I wouldn't want one of my daughters turning it on and leaving it with a li-on in there.
Haha....i do operate portable laser (pointers) as well, so I do know the pocket rocket rule...no worries. Anyway this is not a twistie, and its a IMR so pretty safe. Also going to do L2m with IMR 18350 and UF XM-L!
Does this light have any sort of low bat indicator? Maybe if w/ protected 14500 there's potentially low voltage trip circuit, but w/ IMR 14500 for full power xml it'll keep running until dead since it's boost circuit?
If I am not wrong, it will just run dimmer and dimmer, so when it dims you'll need to charge it. No regulation to boost it. That's what I observed when i ran my copy down on high and the protection kicked in, it was noticeably dim.
