Ordered 2 of the F6’s, just got a tan F8 last week and think it has the best anodizing I have even seen. Machining is top notch, a little better than Convoy, almost Solarforce quality.
The convoy M2 is a very good light for the price. It just felt a little bit slippery with no tail tactical grip. Then I held a black Roche F8. Why didn’t I buy an F8 ages ago? Wow, it is so solid and has some weight to it, which i like. The anodizing is easily on par with a solarforce, i’m sure the tan anodizing isn’t a fair comparison to solarforce. I do love the anodizing on the solarforce L2N black. I hope this Roche F6 is just as solid as the F8.
I’m trying to find a smooth stainless end bezel for the Roche F8, not a big fan of the crenalated bezel. Fasttech only offers the tan F8 with smooth bezel and the Black comes with the sharp bezel. The convoy M2 flat bezel sort of fits it but isn’t quite the right diameter.
Might want to buy one, but does anyone know how the switch works? Is it long press on/off, short click change mode? And how much is the parasitic drain?
Looks interesting to be able to charge batteries in the flashlight with the charger head as well?
1. For how long does this offer last?
2. Does this light fit long protected cells?
3. Is there room for a DrJones driver inside the driver compartment?
For the price, it’s more about the machine work, solid build and anodizing. It doesn’t cost much for a new driver.
I have never seen an official site for Roche. Probably made in the Ultrafire factory and laser etched with a nice logo.
Protected cells might be an issue judging by the Roche F12. But nobody knows yet.
The price could go back up to $40-$50 for all we know.
Don’t let that comment scare you. All the Roche flashlights that I have held in hand were very heavy/solid and built well with nice anodizing. And some genuine ultrafire lights do have good build quality and nice anodizing. If you can find a genuine ultrafire.

Definitely not UF quality, way better, machining as good as premium light brands, some of the best anodizing I have ever seem.
I have had a ton of ultrafires in the past. 501b was my very first 18650 light. I’ve sold them all and only kept two that were high quality lights.

i just got a 501b in the mail from amazon for $9.95 shipped… i believe it can be had a few $ cheaper but youll have to wait 3 weeks+ from overseas shipping… great quality for the $ and a p60 host to boot

The flashlight shows it is in stock, but the SKU with the charger head keeps shifting the “expected restock” date. I tried to purchase the light with charger head 9 days ago and it still shows backorder. I’m currently live chatting with them and the conclusion was to just wait 3-4 days. They say it will be in stock and shipped then.
I ordered one very early and it was on back order. I canceled the order and received a refund because I dislike sellers who take everyones money without actually having the item in stock.
I don’t know if we will ever get these, I ordered 2 on Nov.15 and 1 today, neither order is showing up in my account on their website but 4 other orders not including this light show up. My paypal has been charged for both orders. Got on live chat and they are checking into the problem, I will let you know the outcome. Has anyone else checked their account to see if their order for this light is there?
