We’ve got some really tight folks! A decent XP-G2 on copper is just over $4, a 3.04A Qlite is the same. So for the driver and emitter alone is $8. Y’all arent willing to pay more than 7 dollars for that nice Stainless Steel host? Geesh, tough crowd! I’m glad I’m not making flashlights, Ramen and beans forever!
I’m thinking it’s a safe bet that there isn’t a soul on this forum that’d make that light and sell it for $15!!!
The truth is they don’t have any details on the page, except for the title and picture, so we’ll have to wait for the review. It looks very nice, I might be interested…
anybody obtain more detail specs from them yet?
would love to see decent driver…particularly constant brightness…
HML no memory and always start on high looks like balder Hd1…
Initial impressions: + It looks as good as in the photos
+ Good build quality
+ Nice tint
+ Nice beam (with LOP reflector)
+ Well regulated (see runtime graph) + Modes are ok (116lm, 42lm, 8lm - I'd like to have even lower low, but this isn't bad either)
+ No blinky modes
+ No low voltage protection -> works down to moon mode (yes, this is a pro in case of an AA light!)
- Not current controlled (has PWM, although pretty fast & unnoticeable, haven't measured it yet, but it seems to be around 1kHz)
- Next mode memory(!!) I already contacted Ric about this issue. Let's see what he answers..
Tailcap readings were: 1.40A, 0.56A & 0.13A
Runtime chart (Eneloop 2000mAh, light kept in hand to provide "natural cooling"):
I have no idea how anyone anywhere ever could come up with a driver and think next mode memory is a good idea. Next mode memory will make this one a no-go for me!
