Options for a 26650 p60 host?

I really want a single 26650 p60 host but there does not seem to be many options on the market. I’m considering the oveready defense light but that’s just over $100 for a body tube, an 18650 spacer and the tailcap. I may end up getting it since it is HA3 anodized and pretty nicely made but it is crazy expensive.

Is there anything else on the market that is similar to the oveready defense light? I saw one being sold used for about 150 with a cryos head awhile back, wish I picked it up then as the same thing would cost me 200 new.

Also expensive, but have you looked at this option from fivemega? Cooly 26650 D26 (P60) Host

Thanks, I have but I find it rather ugly. I’m going to keep searching though. The oveready light seems like the best choice but its so expensive.

Fivemega makes all kinds of neat stuff but not all of it is attractive to all of us, that’s for sure! Since you were asking for something similar to the OR I was pretty sure that wasn’t what you wanted.

Another expensive, unattractive, and almost certainly not-what-you-want option from Fivemega is his 2P 18650 P60 M*g 1D by Fivemega It’s dual-bored and shortened to use for those 18650’s but I see no reason you couldn’t just sleeve a 26650 and drop it in there.

Even less likely to be what you want is another candidate for sleeving: 32650-32700 P60 (D26) by fivemega

Sorry I don’t have anything really constructive to add here… what’s steering you towards P60’s?

The Trustfire A8 was near on P60 reflector size. There are cheaper copies that are not as well made.

I don’t know why, but the orange ceracoated cooly appeals to me. I can see now that going off my meds may have been a mistake.

Thanks for the suggestions and as you predicted, they are not for me. Most of it just isn’t the right size or doesn’t appeal to me aesthetically.

I like the p60 platform because of its versatility. It is easy to upgrade to a new driver/LED when the time comes. Also I can switch between my multiple drop-ins. I can also lego parts with p60. I just like being able to configure the light differently to better suit a situation.

I have a solarforce m3 with an xm-l2 driven at about 3A. With an 18650, the Vf of the emitter means it drops out of regulation quick. With a 26650 it would allow for long regulated runtime and longer runtime in general.
