Sounds like yours may have a problem. I have to hold mine down for 1/2 sec to turn on and off. Once on, normal clicks cycle through, High, Medium and low with double click for strobe. Does this the same way everytime. I dont have any momentary on. An idea is to check the battery your using. I tried protected first which I couldnt quite get the head to screw down all the way and caused some erratic behavour but once I put in an un-protected cell and the head could be screwed down properly, no problems since.
Pics anyone? I’m still waiting on my light. I’m not too thrilled with banggood. No tracking and shipment is taking forever.

Banggood is mailing me out a new (pre-tested) head for no charge!! So that’s really good service in my book

This light is interesting but I wonder how it would compare to my Olight S20, (It’s slightly larger, Roche is 4.5mm longer and the head is 6mm larger)

Roche is half the price and looks way better. If you are in the market for this style of light I would definitely get one, excellent guality. The quality is equal to Olight or better.

Yes I do plan on getting one as it does appear to be a really nice light and a really good deal. I’m also getting ready to throw down for a Roche F12 from fasttech.
I already have the Olight S20 (actually 2 of them) I’m just wondering if there is any advantage to this over the Olight (besides the price) if its brighter, or better tint, beam pattern etc. I’m not expecting it to be brighter since they’re both rated 500LM.
The disadvantage already is size because the Roche is slightly larger (and yet it appears it won’t take protected cells!) Also it doesn’t come with any instructions for the UI. The Olight has a really good UI, I have to say it’s the best UI I have ever had. It sounds like this is similar, I’m wondering does this have “one click to last mode” memory, or an electronic lockout like the Olight has? It looks like it could accidentally activate easily in the pocket with the switch being raised like that.
I’m also wondering whats the difference between this and the version FancyFlashlights/CN is selling: LINK, theirs is showing U2 LED and it’s branded EDCgear on it instead of Roche, it also comes with some sort of “Special made waist clip” thats also branded EDCgear.
Plus it comes with a set of 3 accessories that screw in the tail (2 different attack heads and one D-ring)
It would be nice to have those extra accessories but not worth an extra $25.
As far as being better quality I know Roche is said to be higher quality than some of the xxxfire brands, but I’m kind of disappointed to read one of the first ones anyone got on here seems to have been defective. I own several of the Olights (S15, S20, i3s) and they have have excellent reliability. They’re both good lookin lights but I personally think the Olight is sleeker looking with its thinner plain head, plus the Olight’s pocket clip is the Deep Carry design and it also has the magnetic tail, I really like those features.
All of that aside I still want this light, I like the style and the fact its a decent brand for a fair price, the attack head is a pretty cool feature, plus I like the charger head option, will probably get that too. I wish they would offer a neutral tint on this too.
I was going to wait until some more BLF’ers received theirs and posted their thoughts or a review, unfortunately waiting is costing me since it appears the price already went up a few bucks. So I’ll order as soon as I see they are in stock. From what I’m reading in this thread I don’t think I like this seller though, and they keep pushing the restock date back every day, now it’s the 22nd!
