[CLOSED] Laser Group Buy- LaserBtb FDA Approved legal lasers!!!!!

Psh lasers or a tablet that will be obsolete in under a year :face_with_monocle:

Haha, no, I'm not buying an iPad.

GOOD! Anything made by that company, minus the iPod, is junk!

Half a month left, get your orders in

Current order list already sent to LaserBtb so they can start building the lasers for us. Not too late to place your order

Their logo is an apple, and an apple a day keeps the doctor away, so their products must be good!

Finances doesn’t matter. They have a cult following that will buy EVERY PRODUCT thry release. I have an iphone 3 = must get iphone 4, 4s, 5, 5c oh and now a 5s. The 5 5c and 5s are the same dang phone. Nothing chnaged but you can talk to siri……totally worth it, oh can get it in pink 445nm ow, worth it. Same thing for the ipad and laptops. The cult following carries them

Give them two yeara and they will go bankrupt. Apple was steve jobs, withiut him and his ideas apple will be nothing.

Andriod beats apple hands down everyday. Have fun paying for apps and songs

Now back to the topic on hand and enough of talking about junk (apple)

Edit: I don’t have an iphone but that was an example. Android for life. Got a dree ipgone 4 and gabe it to my gf to use as an itouch, she doesn’t even use it and is getting an android tablet, samsung ftw!

Literally only a few days left to join. Its 100% a go so place your orders and get in on this one. Next GB won’t be for months if not end of next year again

Wish I could justify spending money on a direct green. :weary:

So direct green or a build like this ?

What would be the pros & cons?

Was hoping a guru would answer you Flash. I'll take a stab, but I haven't looked into Direct Greens other than admiring the tint. So please correct any misstatement I make gurus.

It's an apples and oranges comparison. My laser is 2 watts output (I think 3 watts with a 9mm diode is as high as you can get before needing multiple diodes), So it's very high powered. The Direct Greens are kind of a tint snob thing. The pictures I have seen are gorgeous. That and I think you don't have to worry about the IR that traditional greed diodes output.

With the direct greens, you won't get high power (kind of like high cri Nichias). Great for looking at and using to point stuff out. The human eye is much more sensitive to green than blue. So the lower power goes a long way for impressive visual effects. I my case, mine will be used more for utilitarian purposes. Cutting, etching, burning, killing hard to reach spiders (Black Widows, Brown Recluses, and Scorpians under my house and shed especially) and egg nests, etc. Also a back up way to start a fire and signal for help.

Well here is the deal with direct diode greens. You cant compare them to DPSS 532nm green since they are completely different. One is a 808nm IR diode pumped through filters and lens to get the 532nm green output. Direct greens are 515 or 520nm (two versions) which is more green then a 532nm, which looks green yellow next to a 520nm.

You cant compare them to a 445nm build since 445nm builds are high powered (500mW at the min and like mentioned above a 9mm can hit 3.5W). Although now we can start comparing a 520nm to a 445nm in terms of power since nichia released a 1W 520 9mm diode however you will spend $1000 to buy just the diode so give it a year or so to lower the price.

Wavelengths are all personal preference and it depends what you like. Personally I really love the side by side of a 520 and 532, same thing with a 445 and 473. Id pick the 520 and 473 any day of the year since they look better to me but they are different.

You can build a 520/515 diode laser now (diode will run you $75-100 for 25-120mW depending on what you drive it at) but you can do a 445nm like the post you linked for $200 and it will be 500-1.5W depending on the driver.

Now, this GB is for pre-built lasers that are FDA approved and have proper safety features. You cant build a 520nm or buy the diode for the cost you can get a full one in this GB. Thats what people are joining for the 520nm since it is such a great deal. Yes you can get a full 1W 520nm for $1000 if you please but no one is going to buy one of those IMO

Direct greens are like XR-E vs XM-L2; its new and people want the XM-L2 over the XR-E but you will always get people who want the XR-E over the XM-L2 since its personal preference

ImA4Wheelr and Livinloud, thank you for the great explanations. They definitely give me a much better understanding of the comparisons. Interestingly, I do prefer green over any other color laser (at least for now). But that might change in the future. I’ll have to rethink and reread the GB threads again and bare in mind what you guys just told me.

Flash, any questions just post them here or even better, over in the GB thread so other members can chime in and give their opinions. Having surgery tomorrow so I wont be on after tonight for a little while, possibly until after the GB ends so posting questions over there will ensure you get answers

Best wishes on the surgery tomorrow LL. Recover fast bro.

Hope your surgery goes well with quick recovery.

Thanks Livinloud, I hope your surgery goes well tomorrow. Im sorry you have to go through this.

Damn… O-like already has those 1W 520nm nichia diodes. Availability is spreading rather quickly. Seems odd for a nichia diode since they don’t like to sell to anyone other then major manufacturers buying tens of thousands at least. Wonder were these are coming from. You still have to buy projectors to strip if you want nichia’s 445s.

Looks like several resellers marking up the price since its going for $650 on taobao.

Keep in mind they are new and from what ive been told they were given out as “demo” or promo to these companies. They are lying when they say “xxxx” in stock. They really only have a few and they are deciding the prices of them. Give it a few months and they will come down GREATLY. Im going off what ive been told by one of the companies who got a few for free for testing purposes.

Thanks for the wishes guys. Hoping that this second round will be the last time i need surgery forever. Sucks, just recovered and now i have to do it all over again :frowning:
