Ugh! Lost my EDC!

Great you found it, not so great condition though.

I was just thinking. I had an unprotected 18650 inside. Going through the snowblower could have really made for an exciting situation!

A true testament to the durability of these Convoy hosts! Why would I need a SureFire EDC? I'd just have been out much more money and more ticked off that it was lost!

Samsung's safety validation for unprotected cells includes charging at 2.8 amps at both +12VDC and -12VDC(!) for 2.5 hours, short-circuit for 3 hours, and a bake test of 130*C for 1 hour, along with various drop, puncture, and vibration torture. The cells must survive with "no fire, no explosion" - they may not be usable any more after that abuse, but it's unlikely they'll kill you. :)

Now it looks mean! Glad you found it. I too found my lost T50 this past week, feels good to get it back.

Poor baby!

Next time let it watch through the window with a cup of cocoa while you clear the driveway.

Happy ending, and a battle scar to prove it.

You think the garryBezel will catch on?

Awesome. Looks like that guy is back from war!

Sweet, congrats.

So I tell my wife the other night about finding my EDC and how it went through the snowblower and all that. Her response: "Well I don't understand how that light is any different from what you could buy at Harbor Freight." It wasn't worth my energy to try to explain and she wouldn't care anyway.

-Garry

Clearly you need to buy one of every light at Harbour Freight and feed them one at a time through the snow blower till she understands the difference. Also make a video of that and you tube it for us.

No, IMO it is not worth explaining it, moreover I find it a healthy situation that I have my own piece of world that is alien to her, and so has she . As long as there is enough in common, it's fine like that.

Awesome that you found it and that it survived, Garry! Instant character on that light. Kinda like scars on a guy. Each one tells a story. Usually they are worth telling. Yours is!

Glad you found it! Now, get a better clip! I use a cheap figure 8 caribiner thingy for my Qlite, 3C XML-2 Noctigon roche.

So how do you clip it? Lanyard? Gotta pic?

-Garry

I use a small, 1inch loop of chord through the lanyard hole and clip the light to either the pocket or the loops for my belt.

Now get rid of that crappy clip .lest you lose it again .

Missed the good news the other day when you found it!!

Good feeling, isn’t it?

Document this, in case of divorce make sure she gets all the Harbor Freight lights.

Gj is making some good points, and making me laugh at the same time!

You could always do like me, put insurance on your EDC. You know, just in case?

<——one of a kind, non budget EDC

you can actually get insurance for that?
