What is the charger head? Is that the cord or different electronics in the light?

The description only refers to the USB output: “you can use it charge your mobil phone or other electronics”
If you take a note of most other mobile chargers, they also come with a charging slot for the charger itself, so that you don't have to take out the battery and swap it in or purchase a separate charger.
This is of more worth in a charger that is secured together more permanently/less conveniently than a flashlight body.
It would be interesting to know how good the charger head charges batteries. I’m thinking for travelling, then you bring flashlight + charge head, and you have a power bank for your phone, that you also can charge with the phone charger

This light will only accept unprotected batterys? Or unprotected will only work with the 1/8 turn “trick” , not sure what you mean ,
Can only use unprotected batteries. The 1/8 inch turn for lockout will keep you from accidentily turning on the light while carrying in the pocket.

i did the same and got a refund from a dispute as they wouldnt answer my emails or paypals claims.
its a shame - ive done a few other orders with them that all came through just fine
