@Rod911. Yeah you are right. I made a typo. At $33 shipped, this is a fantastic deal for so many modes including moonlight and top level regulation.
Yea I had posted a tad earlier about their sale. I pulled the trigger on a Quark Tactical QTL Gen2 for $30. I like their products. Oh and they also had free shipping in the CONUS. Sounded like a fair deal to me.
I want to get this light… are they current regulation?
And do these lights still suffer from pre-flash? Is that a deal-breaker because it sounds pretty bad.

Their website reads that they DO have current regulation. I don’t know what the term “pre-flash” is or means. Others may be able to help you there.

The Quark Tactical series is very similar to the Quark Pro series, but features a forward clicky and a different user interface. The tactical version has only two modes (tightened or loosened), but can have any of the 8 modes of the Pro programmed into those. The tactical models suffer from preflash where sometimes if the light is set to come on in low it will flash very bright when turned on. All of the Quarks have a mild preflash in Moonlight mode where the light flashes to Low before going to Moonlight. _

Thanks for the heads up. I have never noticed that on any of my lights. But wasn’t looking for it. That seems like it would be a bit irritating to say the least. I will have mine in a few days. Guess I will now be looking for that. Which may be or may not be a good thing. lol

but for the general 99.8673% of us 8) who just want a good, reliable light, This looks like a true “budget” light!

At $33, with its awesome regulation and xp-g2 led, it is a great deal IMHO.

Pre-flash on moonlight exists but is so brief it’s really not the concern you might expect and certainly not ‘blinding’

Which means that xp-g2 leds will be 20% brighter (lumens wise)…They have not updated the specs but it is the xp-g2 that is being sold.

Best 2xaa light I have ever used/owned. I swapped a 4500k XML into mine, and programmed the modes to my liking and it’s my go-to light. For $30 this is the best 2xaa light you can ever buy.
