Best 2xaa light I have ever used/owned. I swapped a 4500k XML into mine, and programmed the modes to my liking and it’s my go-to light. For $30 this is the best 2xaa light you can ever buy.
Darn, I was looking for just such a light and on going there they seem to be out of stock.
Anyone else have them for this price?
They still have the 123 size lights in stock.
I have a Quark 123-2 (2 CR123’s, non tactical because I like tail standing lights the tactical can not tail stand) and the preflash that everyone seems to be bent is the lowest mode (moonlight 0.2 lumes) when it comes on it (flashes) Pulses at around 5-8 lumes for less than 0.125th of a second then drops to the sub lum power rating. If you are being all secret squirl then the clicking of the switch is going to give you away more than the slight “preflash”
I have to say a an EDC light it has replaced the fenix E11. I like it a lot and I am sure that there are at east 100 people that do not own either light and will tell me that I am wrong.
It is nice having a light that can pull off the range that the Quark series of lights manages to do with the quality of the lights they have. 4Sevens has done a great job on a flashlight.
Still impressed! I had some trouble with mode memorization, even after watching Nutnfancy’s video, and reading the printed instructions, but 4 7s Customer Service emailed me a YouTube demonstration of how to do that, and now its all programmed. I think I have seen the “preflash”. A non-issue, IMO. And, the price was right!
A great light! 8)
I received mine today and well… i guess there are two options.
Either I’am stupid (which I admit is a possibility) :exmark:
Or I got useless piece of aluminum. After I insert the batteries all it does is Strobe mode. Full press/half press, doesn’t matter always strobe mode :Sp
And I was really looking forward to gifting this to my uncle. I guess now I know why it was for sale…
