Boxing Day Fasttech: bad marketing or just a Dutch treat

Eager to get my hands on one of the only 10! Nitecore EC2 flashlights at the Fasttech Boxing Day, I set my alarm at 02:55 local time in order to log in on time and place the order.
After many attempts to log in and a lot of “unavailable service”- messages, I finally succeeded to reach the EC2 page that told: “all sold out”, BUMMER!

The lessons I learned:
a) Don’t rely on advertisements of companies that mail thousands of customers and give away a Dutch amount of gifts
b) Don’t mention any disappointment on forums like CPF, because your post (with no harsh or unpolite words) WILL be corrected within minutes…

I won’t purchase anything from FT anymore.

One time in two item order they forget to send me one of the items. After making bunch of the pictures and replying for few times I got my money back. I really needed that item ASAP.

Currently there are order what I haven’t received for more than two months. Month ago I opened ticked, they said I should wait… Ok… Now, after month I asked them again… They’re saying I should wait… Whaat? I have experienced this on ebay. Most sellers would refund immediately after writing to them. I’ve re-paid for items what have delayed for few months and I’ve received refund but I don’t like feeling like that package is lost and I don’t have my money. Just zero support.

And now that sale… I would understand if I wouldn’t win any item like on a lot of wallbuys sales but here just site went offline and then everything were sold out. I woke up at 3:45 AM for this sale… LOL

They are just wasting my time…

Boxing day: Is that a typo, translation issue or just a cool day that we don’t celebrate here in the US?

Correct sir, oh and Happy Boxing Day!!

That’s why I like this forum. You can learn all kinds of nonflashlight things too. Happy Boxing Day to all!

Here in the UK the sales start on Boxing day.

As a bank holiday (no work!!) It’s also a day to spend with family and friends, eat the left overs from Christmas day. Turkey curry!

For some it may be another Christmas day all over again if you have a big family and can’t see them all on one day.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
I was promised a full refund for 2 orders by the the 16th of December, for sure nothing happened.
It is not a few dollars we are speaking of $400+
Now at the paypal claim this company is lying (providing wrong tracking numbers etc.)

Please all members of this forum don’t buy from FastTech anymore there are more honest companies who sell the same goods for pretty much the same price.

I also wondered about the Boxing Day, here we call the 26th the second Christmas Day….

They had to less items, if they had priced the multimeter 4$ and not 1$ but with a higher amount of items it would have been better. But we all knew before that this is kind of a lottery, just few get happy.
The good thing is the site wide 5% coupon for everyone! I like that…

I learnt from Wallbuys horsekill never to set an alarm for an internet sale. They’re not worth losing sleep over.

Exactly the same experience I have with Fasttech. They just keep asking me to wait, go to my local post office to check and so on. I have two or three packages not shown up yet after two months until now, not sure if they will ever arrive.

Wow, two months is long enough. >.< I finally got refunds for my missing October packages.

come on, there are other sellers that are far worse, they may now have a tarnished reputation and i would think twice before placing an order but other sellers have done far worse and i would probably think thrice before placing an order with some chinese sellers (there are very few i have complete confidence in, say none)

Bunker hill day, evacuation day, etc…….all US holidays but only celebrated in MA

Wallbuys did the same crap. Complain to them and they will release the sale for an extended time to everyone

I would light my way with a flaming rag in a can of bacon grease before I ever gave FastTech another dime.

I have never been presented with such a litany of lies and deception as I have been by them. “Gift certificates” instead of refunds for batteries returned by HK Post…refusal to honour promised rebates on MAP prices, CW lights arbitrarily substituted for Neutral, and the list goes on.

I’ll do my best to warn away everyone that I can. It’s the least I can do.
It’s a damn shame, they could have had such a good business if only they could have remained ethical.

Two months is already exceeded the dispute opening period of 45 days, so I don’t think I can do anything with them now. I am those kind of guy who is too lazy to monitor and keep track of my orders, luckily they are not expensive stuffs, but I will think multiple times before ordering something from Fasttech in the future, I start to build bad impression with Fasttech now.

Since I was corrected VERY FAST by one of the moderators I can only ascertain that CPF is heavy sponsored by Fasttech….

To keep a neutral view: I ordered twice a set of Panasonic 18650B protected cells that delivered the advertised capacity (3300 mAh) and once a EA4 that all arrived neat and on time, so I have no complaint over delivery time or ordered goods.
My only irrittion was their stupid boxing day action that in my opinion annoys more people than they can imagine….

The correction of the CPF moderator valued the CPF to be not reliable when having questions about the quality of dealers/suppliers

For other things I have nothing against the CPF

I doubt there is any sponsorship. FastTech stopped selling the brands that advertise on CPF due to MAP (Fenix, Olight, Nitecore, etc.).

I don’t go to that forum much but I think complaints about sellers are best directed to the jeers subforum, unless you are trying to resolve an issue with a seller and have already tried communicating in private.

I’ll definitely think twice and look for alternative vendors.

The question, I think, is more what ARE you allowed to say on CPF? You sure can’t post a link to BLF, it’ll disappear pdq! Good ol Norm…
