Quark AA2 Tactical (XP-G2) Sales at 4sevens website 50% off!

Which means that xp-g2 leds will be 20% brighter (lumens wise)ā€¦They have not updated the specs but it is the xp-g2 that is being sold.

Oops sorry you are indeed correct

Thank you. Mine has the XM-L. That is why I asked. I wasnā€™t even aware that they wade them in XP-G2.

Thanks. Just ordered one for $30 and some change.

Best 2xaa light I have ever used/owned. I swapped a 4500k XML into mine, and programmed the modes to my liking and itā€™s my go-to light. For $30 this is the best 2xaa light you can ever buy.

One on the way (30,36:money_mouth_face: :santa:

Thanks for the code!!!, I went ahead and ordered.

I was going to get a Fenix E21 but for about the same price I ordered this. Im going to Google some reviews now to read about the light.

Darn, I was looking for just such a light and on going there they seem to be out of stock.
Anyone else have them for this price?
They still have the 123 size lights in stock.

On the subject of preflash.

I have a Quark 123-2 (2 CR123ā€™s, non tactical because I like tail standing lights the tactical can not tail stand) and the preflash that everyone seems to be bent is the lowest mode (moonlight 0.2 lumes) when it comes on it (flashes) Pulses at around 5-8 lumes for less than 0.125th of a second then drops to the sub lum power rating. If you are being all secret squirl then the clicking of the switch is going to give you away more than the slight ā€œpreflashā€

I have to say a an EDC light it has replaced the fenix E11. I like it a lot and I am sure that there are at east 100 people that do not own either light and will tell me that I am wrong.

It is nice having a light that can pull off the range that the Quark series of lights manages to do with the quality of the lights they have. 4Sevens has done a great job on a flashlight.

mine arrived already - just a few days after orderingā€¦ my second nitecore mt21a also came today

i have to say - comparing the 4 sevens to the nitecore and my thrunite archer 2aa - I am not at all impressed with the 4 sevens.

The tint is crap and the driver squeals on turbo

I am debating returning itā€¦ or maybe ill just regift it

its not even worth the $33 i paid for it when you consider i got 2 nitecore mt21aā€™s for the same money

I got mine, and I am impressed! Waiting for dark to see how it really does.

I emailed their customer service about mine well see how they handle this.

Ideally I will be able to just ship the head somewhere to get it fixed. At least this was the case with eagletac when I had a similar problem.

It does say that clearance items are excluded from their warranty and all sales are finalā€¦ so well see where this goes lol.

Still impressed! I had some trouble with mode memorization, even after watching Nutnfancyā€™s video, and reading the printed instructions, :frowning: but 4 7s Customer Service emailed me a YouTube demonstration of how to do that, and now its all programmed. I think I have seen the ā€œpreflashā€. A non-issue, IMO. And, the price was right!
A great light! 8)

Never heard about that Nitecore before, just researched it now and nice looking light (I love 2AA lights.)

Can you please give me a link where I could get one for cheap? I only buy lights now if its a blow-out price or a really super deal.

Still waiting the my Quark to arrive, hope its okay. Im expecting (hoping) it to be on par with Fenix quality. Sorry to hear you had issue with yours. :frowning:

I received mine today and wellā€¦ i guess there are two options.

Either Iā€™am stupid (which I admit is a possibility) :exmark:

Or I got useless piece of aluminum. After I insert the batteries all it does is Strobe mode. Full press/half press, doesnā€™t matter always strobe mode :Sp

And I was really looking forward to gifting this to my uncle. I guess now I know why it was for saleā€¦

I just got mine too from the sale. I double checked it and it doesnā€™t make a sound on Turbo or any other mode that matter. I tried several different batteries too. Not sure whats going on with yours. I canā€™t comment on the tint. Tint seems to be a personal thing. I do like the tint on mine.

I would be surprised if they didnā€™t make some attempt to make it right. Their HQ is in Atlanta. They are also on Facebook. I have seen some folks have issues and post it on facebook, and David the head hancho has stepped up and tried to satisfy the customer. Of course buying it at 1/2 price doesnā€™t give you much leg to stand on. Either way, good luck.

That isnā€™t normal but it may be possible to fix through reprogramming it. Have you tried to access the programming mode?

Just twist the head quickly from tight to loose at least four times with the light on and it will go to moonlight mode, wait a few seconds for some flashes then scroll through the modes and leave it on the one you want for about 10 seconds (this will be confirmed with more flashes). Turn it off and on and that will be the memorized mode for tight/low (whichever it was in when you did the programming), then you can do it again for the other position.

By head, you mean the part where itā€™s printed ā€œQuark Tactical QT2Aā€?

Right where the two parts meet. It can be programmed to come on any mode, then when you turn it tight it will can go to a different mode, or you can set it to where when you loosen it, it changes mode. So basically you can set 2 modes. I set mine so that when its down tight, its in moon light, then when I loosen it, it goes to turbo. What ever position you have it in, the tail cap button will activate that position. So, if mine is tight, when I hit the tail cap, its moonlight. Ya dig?

Yes. Thatā€™s why I asked. I canā€™t tighten or loosen the flashlight head. Itā€™s stuck.
