Harnds Viper

The Knight looks good to me. The others are not my cup of tea. I don’t own any Harnds.

I’ve got the Blazer and the Viper, top quality. The Blazer is $3 cheaper from FastTech.
If they are all built to as high a standard and they bring more models out then they’ll rival the best in a few years.

That Knight looks great. I want to thank everyone on this forum for continuing to get FastTech to add more knives at their amazing price. I hope FastTech is making a profit on their website, they’ve been nothing but amazing, super fast shipping, the cheapest prices, and they have great customer care. I find myself actively wanting to support them. I’m going to buy the blazer and the knight and the viper.

I posted this in the FastTech new products thread:

"I have that CK6013 Knight. It's a clone of the Kershaw Volt ii which I also have and am intending to post a comparison review. Basically tto me the CK6013 is just a "meh" knife, nowhere near the Kershaw quality. Two nylon washers make it slow to open and rather stiff. Ok for the price and may be very good with the washers replaced."

It lacks the assisted opening and also has no flipper (though they kept the flipper on the Brawler clone). They added a thumbstud in its place.

I'm not so impressed. Maybe the other Harnds are great, but based on this experience I'm staying away from Harnds.

In that case I won’t be getting it. I have however read good stuff about the viper and the blazer. Other than the blazer being rather love-it-or-hate-it in terms of design choice, heh.

The nyx is really ugly (and serrated |( ) but it is cheap and has a flipper, it is hard to find it on budget chinese knives.

Sping assisted I thought?!

I have the Blazer Satin and it’s a really good knife. Very thick, heavy and solid. As mentioned above, looks count, but if you can look past that, you will be getting a bang for the buck. I’ll definitely will be getting a couple more. If they would make the knife with a plain black handle while making the good knurling it already has a little better, it would be much more popular.

Automatic or assisted it is.

I like the blazer plain edge silver but it is very heavy. Anyway i like it but there is not almost reviews in internet, only in russian, however the harnds viper is much more popular. My viper is a good knife i think, but not better than my el01 for example (well, the steel is better but nothing more).

I quite like the red on the scales, I think it breaks up what could be a big chunk of black.
Maybe use a black Sharpie if you really don’t like it, I use one to touch in dinged black finish on blades and scales so it should work.
I’d try the inner design on the scales first, the outer is a bit wide to get away with Sharpie.
I do think the red suits the black bladed version though.

How do you all like the LAWKS secondary locking system? There are knives where it engages automatically and becomes a real pain in the arse to have to disengage before closing. I have a CRKT Hammond Cruiser that has the manual version and I seldom use it, same as this one, it’s nice to have the option but if you need it that much you should be using a fixed blade.

Or just use RIT to permanently color it…

I’ve been waiting for one of the big sellers to post the Knight so I could get a good look at it. Good looking and you can swap the clip for tip-up carry. Now if the clip itself wasn’t so fugly……

One of these days I'll post up pics and a comparison review of the Knight and the original Kershaw Volt ii.

Yes, a good solution.

Just wondering if any of you that think that the red on the Blazer’s scales is over the top think that this is over the top as well.

I’ve already voted with my wallet and ordered from FastTech.
