HD2010 XM-L2 T6 with 26650 4000mAh Kong cell - distance: approx 25 meters. V2 beam is a bit more concentrated, but is less bright. Left: HD2010. Right: STL-V2 (original) with XM-L T6
Well, my trusty budget thrower now takes second-place to this bright little new champion. Even with an ever-so-slight reflector size advantage, the V2 can’t quite out-throw the XM-L2-upgraded HD2010. I’d say it’s somewhere at that 55,000 kcd range easily. Can’t tell from the pic, but the more neutral-ish tint of the HD2010 actually serves to make objects at a distance less washed-out-looking. I’ve come to appreciate that. And the extra lumens become more obvious at a distance as the first T6 starts to struggle with illuminating down range.
If you get this light, but sure and use a good 26650 or Samsung low-resistance because the improved brightness is worth it! I believe that 1,100 lumen rating may be close to accurate.
Came just shy of 3 weeks. It was so well packaged it took nearly 15 minutes to get it removed! Not a scratch on it, no flickering, and the button feels easier to push, but still firm and responsive.
This gets a Rusty Recommend Heavy!
