Gone but not forgotten
I’ve hit the spam button four or five times since I joined, about 6 months ago. Usually half a screen of drivel scattered with links.
Not easy to get people to post and share their info / knowledge. Sometimes by commenting and sharing, we might get belittling remarks or malignant comments.
Even old timer flashaholics had dimmed their passion and stopped visiting / commenting. Sad to see someone banned actually.
Late to the party, again.
Kill ’em as fast as I see them … I maybe get a couple a month, but it seems like it is in waves.

Did anybody ever confirm it was his post delete that was mid-giveaway? It was rude, but if the admin knows of other antics then I guess he hit sb’s pretty high tolerance threshold. My own level would have been pretty low on a thread where someone is so generously giving away stuff to BLF members, too.
I’m afraid I can confirm Kreisler deleted his post. I remember him having one of the first few posts, post #2 iirc.
I would like to him back on blf as well. It does seem that he needs correction of some behavior tho.
My personal view is to disable the delete post button or for that instance allow editing hours/days after a post was made.
I just hit marie-somenumbers who was pushing paisley shoes with spam soles.

Regarding the Kreisler issue, I would just like to make clear that he was not banned just for deleting posts, although it’s worth mentioning that he had been specifically warned to stop creating confusion with his post deletion. I won’t go into any personal details, but his offences were much more serious that playful post deletion. Please keep in mind that I am on the receiving end of the “Contact the admin” link, and I am frequently contacted by a lot of different people about many different issues. So if any user starts doing anything devious I usually find out pretty quickly. So with that in mind, please understand that Kreisler was not banned just for post deletion.
I don’t want this to turn into a public shaming mob against Kreisler, so please avoid further comments about it here. I would be glad to explain via PM if you are still in disagreement. But in this case, he burned his own bridges and his ban is permanent and reinstatement is not an option.

Just helped kill some spammer named joanna-something. Thanks whoever clicked her to oblivion with me. I could go for a grilled spam sandwich right now.

I’m in the same time zone as steve and chloe, it does also come in waves, you’ll have a monday morning where every other post triggers a spam blast, then nothing for a while while they pester someone else.
I am quite enjoying my mod status on other forums, there I can silence them, edit their ppostsin an amusing way and leave them like a carcass hanging from the state line as a warning to other would be spammers, it amuses me I have to admit.
I just had a few squirrel pics I took a few years back…
Btw, it would be nice if it was possible to actually KILL spammers… hm… anyone got contacts in the NSA? CIA? Indefinite holding would also work,
i have probably helped out on a hundred in my times here. like said, it comes in waves. sometimes i wont see none in weeks, other times i see a dozen in a week
I just hit some spam about a kitchen or something. At least they know where spam belongs. Morning is a bit different though, I’d prefer bacon with breakfast.
I also just killed 2 posts about “Suffolk Kitchen something-or-other”……
