Deal Alert: 5 mode SK68 clone - $2.18 USD (expired)

It can use AA and have memory modes?

Word of caution,

When it is time to pay and you are redirected to the PayPal site for log-in. Check that a secure connection has been established before you enter your email and password.

Tried several times with different browsers would not get a secure connection.

Even if it is legit problem please check you have a secure connection before entering your PP details and having them fly around the internet in the clear,.

Verified, encrypted, secure. Using chrome.

Ah good to hear, hopefully must have been a temp glitch. Tried Chrome, Firefox and Opera no go with any of them for me.

$2.18 USD

Inbound...lets hope it's not a scam, went thru paypay...so they should protect you in case the vendor tries to hose us

I have 1/2 dozen of these "bic lighter" Cree flashlights...they make great gifts

The ones I got were from Amazon and were $3.60 anyway....

Thank Ezarc. I couldn't resist.

I hope my connections were secure. I checked at one point and it said https, but I didn't check every time a new page loaded.

Same here, I forgot to check too. If I am not wrong, I saw them advertise a few times here?

Can TS update his first thread to alert those who have not read the “possible” scam alert comment.

Its not just the https address, it needs the lock symbol showing (usually in the address bar), that a secure connection has been established. Very easy to miss these days. IIRC some of the early browsers changed the whole address field colour to green if it was a secure connection, wish they would do that now, much easier to see than a small lock!

I wasn’t paying too much attention to security at the time. I do check in the address bar to make sure it has the PayPal website address. I just changed my PayPal password for peace of mind.

$2.18 here also. Hope its not a scammer. We should mass launch a complaint else!

Color me stupid, but can they get that info from me placing an order thru Paypal? Is there protection thru Paypal for this? I have an e-mail in to them, but if it’s true, by the time I receive an e-mail reply I may be broke

My precaution was to prevent access to my account. The actual Paypal transaction is not revealing any personal info other than that needed for the transaction (ex. address, name, etc.)

Anybody get a shipping notice yet.

I ordered one as a guest and didn’t register.

Hmmmm…

i was one of the 1st to order. I e-mailed and she said mine would ship on Thursday the 16th.

Awesome. Personally, I think its a PR/marketing trick (in a positive way I mean) to get her website known and to generate a buzz/business. Seems legit so far!

I have just received an email confirming that it has been shipped.

Received the alert too.

You guys that received the alert, are you registered on their site?

I placed order as a guest. Didn’t register an account.
