The 26650 Thread

I want to create this thread so we can talk about 26650 related flashlights. Here are some interesting findings I have came across on the web. Let me know your opionions on each option.

The hosts that cnqualitygoods have look nice, but I haven't tried one out yet. I think the lack of popularity of 26650 lights is a shame. Then again, the only thing they have going for them over a good 18650 based light is runtime (and certain extreme mods).

What do you think about number 1 and 2 Match?

I would like the UniqueFire UF-2170 if it was offered as a host only. I don't need the entire set with battery and charger. I wonder about the build quality as well - especially the offering from cnqualitygoods . It would be a nice alternative to and 18650 based host. I have plenty of those, but only a few m@g C mods that accept 26650.

I've been looking all day for a 2x26650 flashlight with a big head. There's of course this

You get a lot of details there.

And there's this http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1145 SSt-50

1300L ? On a different site it was specified that the LED is driven at 5A. I think lumen estimates are not realistic, judging by this recent test https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/2346

And then:

http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1150 XM-L T6

900L . This looks very real as on a different website it was specified 860L at 3A.

These too are both nice lights, and good prices, $57 and $49 respectively . The reflector is 51mm wide, however how deep it is? It seems to make bad ring/loop according to the beamshots.

Maybe some else is looking for a 2x26650 and some extra details might help.

I have finally found out what's the reflector size for these two flashlights, since no one @cnqualitygoods is willing to answer my e-mails.

It's 51mm wide and 30mm deep. I sure looks shallow and probably that's causing that outer ring.

Who feel that this 1&2 26650 Host: http://cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=114

or http://cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1077

has shady pictures but is interested in such a host, check the link below for better pictures

Switch Type:

No switch, put in battery & the flashlight will work

Im guessing this is a twisty, lol. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/fandyfire-bt-qs88-xm-lt6-waterproof-1-mode-1000lm-white-led-flashlight-2x26650-2x18650-4x123a-91661

I LOVE the 18650 adapters though.

The pill / heatsink looks good even if it lacks of mass / volume compared to the one of the original JM07 (on left)

So I prefer the "original" TorchLight / Shadow JM07 and idealy I would buy the one with the bigger head:

The problem is to know if the 55mm reflector for MC-E will "work" with an XM-L.

I do not know if the XM-L would benefit from such a flat area around it, like the reflector of the MC-E Torchlite with 55mm head and it appears to be heavy OP.

If you don't mind the double battery format this would make a better host in my opinion:

Yes, I seen this host a few days ago when I was searching 26650 flashlights but I didn't seen it anywhere else probably because it was discontinued.

(I seen one like this in Taobao but was not sure if it was new or used.)

"Sorry, this item is no longer available!"...

Is anyone familiar with this?

Nice! do you know if the body detach to run in single 26650?

Doesn't look like it does.

I'm waiting for the new Shadown lights from CNQ. Supposed to be very power, very good. Hope they are of Jetbeam quality.

What that extension under the light then??? Hmmmmm

Also doesn't look like the Voltage range would handle 1 battery

Anyone actually purchase either the UF-2170 or the UF-2180? Curious to see beam shots and find out if they are equivalent or essentially the C8 that is highly recommended on BLF, but with the 26650 battery.

Tia.
