Careful ! More lumens absolutely don’t mean we see things better, its the most common mistake in flashlight world. The tint of the light, beam pattern and CRI (color rating index) is a determining factor to the human eyes, yes we are human with absolutely subjective view, we don’t see precise numbers.
You shouldn’t worry about the bin brightness because even the lowest bin have almost all the same brightness to the eye.
But if you want to impress people used to incan tint and blind someone I think cool white is better.
Oh yeah, no doubt...I run 6000K LED bulbs in my light fixtures, crazy bright and it makes all the colors pop, but in a flashlight I prefer the neutral...but like you said...subjective :p
This is Hong Kong, free shipping, cheap products and I know some shops, where it takes 7 days to ship a product. The bigger shops have thounds of orders each day (this picture is from DX):
Do you live in the USA? You can buy the Convoy here and I think you will have it within a few days, but pay round about $33 within shipping.
I order from DX for a long time, Focalprice and Priceangels too but they are less interresting.
Fasttech, Banggood, Tmart and other seems to be newer shop but they are more specialized in flashlight, which is good for us.
DX can take one week to process an order, just send it to post office. But as they are the oldest, I believe they have tons of orders.
Just to say that now I’m used to chinese website shipping time, shipping time vs price, I choose price.
One day I may try to order on Taobao, there is a thread here about taobao intermediary.
I’m just contemplating the same. I do have an XML2 on noctigon (which I’m going to dedome) and a copper pill ready for this light. I’m thinking of stacking a 7135 on 2 or 3 of the excisting 7135’s. Is this a smart thing to do?
Thanks to you guys I ordered the Convoy C8 XML2 T6-4C. Pretty excited since its my first LED flashlight.
I choose the standard free shipping and the website says it already shipped but I didn't get any tracking numbers. I'm guessing the free shipping for just the flashlight ($17.00) doesn't include tracking?
Does paying for the Air Mail Register option give tracking?
I know it can take awhile I've ordered from China 6 different times over the last year, just not from Banggood. Just wondering why I didn't get a tracking number?
Edit... I found the answer on their forum site. No tracking for anything under $25
I don’t really know how this happened, but mine is STILL in transit after ordering on 1/21. Get this—it ships from China to the US, landing in New York. “Nice,” I think to myself, “I’m in Pennsylvania, so surely it will be here soon!”
I just checked the tracking information, and it’s now in Puerto Rico…on its way back now.
Received mine today,……really nice light for $15.00! This is my first budget light purchase and it amazes me what you can get for very little money with the right information. I only have cheap Ultrafire batteries to try it with but it is still very bright. I have some Samsung 20R coming from Mountain Electronics that I hope will wake it up,…I also ordered a modified 5a XINTDV4 to compare it too.
