At times it can be time consuming, I’ve managed to learn a few shortcuts to speed things up.
That’s the idea, reignite the interest.

I’m positive many of us could benefit from your offer and be happy to take you up on it. Any chance you could post an example of what this does? I’d be happy to offer up any of my images for you to use for this or maybe you could pm a member whose image you’d like to use instead. I know my images could be better but would like to see what you would do.

Most of images I work on I am under NDA, so I can’t use them as an example. If anyone has a few images that need some help I could work on them and post them as an example.
What’s NDA? Just suggesting you link to a post number or image that you could improve, then I or another member can send you the file. That, or you post a before and after to show what you can do. I’d rather not swamp you with crap images not worth your time or effort. It’s a great offer and I’d like to see just what you mean by “improve”.
Non Disclosure Agreement
ImageMagick:
convert -delay 100 -loop 0 *.jpg animation.gif
(will make a looping animation of all jpeg files, with one second between frames)
Also pretty easy in gimp. Add each image as a new layer, set delays by editing the layer names, then save as gif. This allows a lot more manual tweaking of individual frame content and timing.
Regardless of the method, it will still reduce the color to 8 bits. It’s too bad we don’t have a widely-adopted 24-bit animated image format.

Can you remove something from an image. Foe eg. There is a picture of my Mother and Father in one of there old cars that has a modern car in the background. Could this be removed? You would probably have to see the picture yes?

If there is enough image to pull from (clone from) yes I think it is possible. If the image is too small then it might not work. I can tell you more detail once I see the image.

Ooh, can you enhance images like on CSI? Based on some pics from google maps, you could tell me who my real father is!

Meanwhile, the rest of the world uses multiple cameras aimed out from a single point, and stitches the images together digitally to produce a result of significantly higher quality than any single lens can produce.
