Free image correction and retouching, my contribution to BLF

ImageMagick:
convert -delay 100 -loop 0 *.jpg animation.gif

(will make a looping animation of all jpeg files, with one second between frames)

Also pretty easy in gimp. Add each image as a new layer, set delays by editing the layer names, then save as gif. This allows a lot more manual tweaking of individual frame content and timing.

Regardless of the method, it will still reduce the color to 8 bits. It’s too bad we don’t have a widely-adopted 24-bit animated image format.

just give it time, as long as this is not a limited time offer i will most likely use your services in the future

Can you remove something from an image. Foe eg. There is a picture of my Mother and Father in one of there old cars that has a modern car in the background. Could this be removed? You would probably have to see the picture yes?

Glad to see you’ve recovered after the wife saw that previous post of yours…

If there is enough image to pull from (clone from) yes I think it is possible. If the image is too small then it might not work. I can tell you more detail once I see the image.

I’ll be happy to give it a try.

Ooh, can you enhance images like on CSI? Based on some pics from google maps, you could tell me who my real father is! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

We could not decipher his name but according to our analysis his favourite phrase is “I pity the fool…”

Lol, I enjoyed that link. Here is the extreme opposite: click on image

Here is another one. Link

Sheesh, sell the farm,

And then there is this,

Weight : 5,200g

Dimensions: 236mm dia. x 171mm long (overall); 160mm extension from lens flange.

That is about $10,000 a Kg :o

You would have to be built like Arnie in his heyday to use it.

Cheers David

Meanwhile, the rest of the world uses multiple cameras aimed out from a single point, and stitches the images together digitally to produce a result of significantly higher quality than any single lens can produce.

i would like to see sample pics taken with that lens

You can see the modern cars to the very left of the picture. I have reduced the size of the picture here for the forum.

What? I don’t see any modern cars…

[rubs eyes]

I must be more tired than I thought; maybe I should go to bed.

Orsm. What happened to the Draught horses? They been smoking dope again?
Edit. Ya better give me a lesson. Who wants to mod the original?

the curvature of the road is also different, and the colour of the car is totally incorrect for the era, every automotive enthusiast knows Henry Ford said “any colour is fine as long as its neon green”

At the time these lenses where produced, digital photography for all practical purposes didn’t exist. Let alone stitching software. Today we are so spoiled with all this inexpensive technology.
The 220 degrees photographs are stunning including all the distortion and chromatic aberrations. I’ll see if I can find some.

I can totally to this!
Please send me a link to the highest res file you have and I’ll get it done.

The car is a Maxwell. Not a Henry Ford product. Thanks Kodachrome 40.

Would you like to make it look like an old picture?
How did you go about getting this one? Did you take a picture with your G15? That’s how I digitalize an old photo, take a nice clean close-up with the Canon.
Anyway, would be more than happy to fix that up for you.

From the small pic, a few choices…

The picture was taken by one of the car club members just snapping away and thought dad might like it. I think its a shame the mirror is in the way but then it may be a blessing in disguise.
