Free image correction and retouching, my contribution to BLF

The car is a Maxwell. Not a Henry Ford product. Thanks Kodachrome 40.

Would you like to make it look like an old picture?
How did you go about getting this one? Did you take a picture with your G15? That’s how I digitalize an old photo, take a nice clean close-up with the Canon.
Anyway, would be more than happy to fix that up for you.

From the small pic, a few choices…

The picture was taken by one of the car club members just snapping away and thought dad might like it. I think its a shame the mirror is in the way but then it may be a blessing in disguise.

Could remove the mirror and have him smiling with his shades on. Of course, if they’d put the steering wheel on the correct side, you wouldn’t have that issue…

removing the mirror, thats a professional retouching job! (it can probably be done with some other pictures of your father to clone from)

it’s just a couple of bolts and it comes right off!

I´m sending you a PM with two pictures of my parents i´d love to have in better condition. They were scanned with my crappy scanner, i don’t know if they are OK to fix

EDIT:

yes, now you mention it, i see, it´s an easy job… piece of cake!

Okay, sorry about that. My bad. I fixed the image according to everyone’s feedback.

You are a bunch of funny buggers. I’ll give the old man a laugh and link him here. He’ll be amazed as well as I am for what you can do. Sorry if the thread has been just slightly derailed but I’ve had a good laugh.

doesn’t it need some slicks in the back, flames coming off the front fenders, and maybe just one more mirror? The new cars to the left need spoked wheels too, and an Ooogah horn on the fender.

flames! yes, please!

PM received, working on you images.

Mum loves the green car. Its her favourite colour. They both had a good laugh. I have also found out it is a 1934 Maxwell.

I knew Henry Ford was on to something

I think it would also look good in plaid

No plaid, but a bit of chrome on the blown engine?

Are you sure he never ran it into a 32 Ford? Maybe a little front end work at some time?

He does have a F truck from around that era. I’ll have to get some decent pictures one day. Hes got around 20 vehicles in his collection.

Quote: “At 36lbs, 33” long and 9” wide at the front element, calling this lens a ‘tele’ is like calling King Kong a monkey.”

I finished working on images for two members. PMs sent. Pictures were of private and family nature so I can’t use them as samples of my work.

I’ll look into working on some images to post as samples.

I got to see the 6mm Nikkor fisheye lens in person. I knew a highly regarded industrial photographer with professional links to Kodak, Nikon and a stock agency who was able to secure one for a short while. Shows you how rare and expensive this lens was and what level of connection it took to get your hands on one. Certainly was a sight to see.

Here is a link to an article and a youtube video of this lens.

Nice. I didn’t try to do anything which would take more than a few minutes. That looks pretty well-done though.

Didn’t spend much time on it either, the 32 Ford was at a different angle, made it a bit tough. If I’d kept the Maxwell radiator there wouldn’t have been much engine showing, so I went with the Ford front end and lights. Started to put some big tires in back as well, lol Maybe I should have overlaid plaid onto the red paint? :stuck_out_tongue: Paisley?

Don’t remember ever seeing a plaid hot rod before…
