Deal Alert: 5 mode SK68 clone - $2.18 USD (expired)

came today. Very happy with mine. As nice as any Sipik clone I have purchased, cosmetically anyway. Question for the electronic gurus: I put a Trustfire Flame, 900mA, in it and did an amp reading on high. Came out .75 Put that same cell in another Sipik clone I have, but one mode only, and took a reading. Came out 1.35 What do those results say?
Don’t like waiting 30 days for arrival but happy with this light, especially at that price. Would buy 20 if I could, gift em.

(Kinfire brand)

I also received the Kinfire 3-mode version today. .75-.8A on high, readings are pretty close to my XPG2-modded HWA/WYS Ultrafire on a couple different cells I grabbed. At a quick glance it looks like an XPE2 daylight with no real tint leanings toward blue or green. Appears easily brighter than than the XPG2 using the same cells (die image is noticeably smaller, as expected). I wish I had an IMR 14500 to see if either would draw higher current but since the flame has drawn higher in other lights I suspect this is the driver limit at whatever voltage these cells were at.

[EDIT: The XPG2 kills the XPE2 for general use with a fully charged TF flame. Current draw jumped to 1.45A before heat sinking with 4.2v TF flame. The Kinfire did not draw any more after both cells were charged. Outside the surface brightness is much closer with a slight edge to the XPE2 but with so many more lumens from the XPG2 the modded Ultrafire kills the stock XPE2 emitter in almost every useful throw situation of any moderate distance. A driver change would bring potentially substantial improvement in throw, with a loss of run time and AA compatibility.]

Quality appearance is the best of the half dozen different SK68 samples I’ve seen, each from a different vendor. You guys aren’t kidding about the box - easily the best quality box I’ve gotten from overseas with a cheap light - not crushed and barely dented; the envelope also was slightly better than the typical bubble mailer. Anybody seeing these at this price again please PM me so I don’t miss out!

For those concerned about rings, try putting some black electric tape on the silver surfaces under the lens to see the impact. In normal use I’m not usually distracted by them and don’t mess with it since I mostly give them away.

Still have not received my faucet light that I ordered a week or so earlier …

glad to hear these are tricklin' in to the usa.

I've already marked Feb 22 as PP Dispute day.

8 days to go.

Man, talk bout slow delivery...

Got 2, waiting on 2 more. Plain white box, unbranded and no O-ring on sliding part.

Hi Patrick,

Your flashlight looks exactly as mine.

I did not use thermal paste as it is an empty pill design. Note, the plastic retaining ring is a pain in the ass to remove.

Flashlight remains relatively cool(+5 degree room temp) after 5mins. High ~1.2A, Lo~0.5A with Ni-Mh.

Total bummer they didn’t have more kinfire stock. Jelly I didn’t get that box.

KINFIRE comes with 2 O-rings. myLED did claim that they have “thousands” of order for this deal. Sadly, do not expect all of the clones are of the same batch and grade.

Got mine in, cheapy white box clone..no worries...for $2~ who cares...gonna mod it up a bit

Got mine. Got the good box, but it was pretty beat up and tore open along the whole seam. Light seems unharmed and of better than average quality. Focused image is pretty big, but none of the stock lenses out there satisfy me in that regard. Thank you Ezarc for posting this deal alert.

buy one 11/01 we are 17/02 see nothing here |(

I got mine today. white box, metal sliding ring, ez900

Mine came in today.

Man, I hate next-mode "memory". J)

I would love a Sipik SK68 clone with proper memory and these modes: High > Med > Low.

(I don't think that'll ever happen, but a raccoon can dream, can't he?)

It’s been quite a while since the pencil-memory-reset-mod-technology was invented in BLF.

Well, you don’t get your HML but still, HL with skip strobe is not bad at all. Especially for ultra budgets.

Something in the works to fix that ;)

No e-mail, no record of me registering on their site and yet here it is!
White box, o-ring, grease, green rings, slight over focus when zooming.
Very bright little light (subjective) with the best looking clip (strong) I have in my
collection and no scratches.
The slid is a little too easy to move. Any ideas on how to add friction? Heavy grease?

All in All a well spent $2.18. Still surprised how bright!

Open it up, take out the little metal ring, pop in a rubber gasket from lowes/home depot that will fit in the groove, the metal ring really just doesn't cut it on the friction for the zoom, then, make sure you put some NOALOX on the threads and o-ring and re-assemble..smooth as glass after that

I got mine today in that beautiful yellow box… oh wait, the boy was rather squished :frowning:
Anyway nice light for 2,18$, if i knew this was real i’d order MORE

Thanks for the advice on a FIX. Will do.

I received mine yesterday in New haven CT. Nice yellow box, very bright! Thank you OP, for posting this deal!!

How much for the box?
