I think she already has a purple i3S; not sure why she would want a SWM in the same class.
I still want a L3 L10-219 in deep, dark, saturated purple. (or brass, or stainless, or titanium… anodizing rarely seems to hold up well on most EDC lights) Actually, I’d really dig stainless with rainbow titanium nitride coating.
I once had to pick up my wife’s Hyundai Getz after it had a service - the girl at the front desk starts calling out “the lavender getz is ready, lavender getz is ready” as I stand up she says “oh … the purple Getz is ready”.
I have both (in purple, the i3s is more flashy purple, the swm a bit less glossy and in my opinion nicer purple) and alltough the i3s turns more smoothly, i’m a bit dissapointed in the light it puts out. The swm is supposed to be only 66 lumens, but i can’t see any difference between that and the i3s wich is rated at 80 lumens. The swm is more neutral white too…
But only partially supported by actual data. Here are a couple representations of real survey results:
Results are from here:
and here:
I found it interesting that the most popular color names are mostly the same. Also, the extreme outliers (the most-gendered color names given in the survey) were interesting too (copied from XKCD):
Here are the color names most disproportionately popular among women:
Dusty Teal
Blush Pink
Dusty Lavender
Butter Yellow
Dusky Rose
Here are the color names most disproportionately popular among men:
Penis
Gay
WTF
Dunno
Baige
(to clarify, #5 was actually a very popular misspelling made by the people who took the survey)
