found something interesting anybody got one?

+1. On the pictures are XP-E emmiters. The only question what is wrong - the description or the pictures.

Thanks, I ordered one.

Should be fun to see what I can do with it. I like the three separate heads. They usually give a very nice beam profile. Plus I don’t have that many single 26650 lights. I’m betting I can add copper stars, de-domed and do a resistor mod and have a fun and funky light for cheap.

There is nothing I like more than modding a cheap light.

I ordered this last night BECAUSE it was listed as US shipping. Estimated arrival date Dec 31,2013
No today it is listed as “SHEN ZHEN, China”
NOW estimated arrival Wed. Jan. 8 and Sat. Jan. 18, WTF
Effing pizzed is an understatement.

What can be done here?
The seller said USA Shipping and now changed it.
I do not have a screen grab to prove it, but Ebay surely can see when the auction was edited.
What is the proper course of action?

Thanks,
Keith

Tell them right away that you want to cancel the order. If they won’t then contact e-bay and paypal.

Now I just checked myebay and it shows shipped with a China tracking number.
They are getting a Negative, I do not fly for this crap.
I very rarely give a neg, but this deserves it so much.

i still want mine. gonna complain but might try to get some money back. lol

Came in the mail today, very fast for China shipping, so they get off the hook:)
First and foremost, as I suspected, it is NOT a Zooomy.
Anyway, the reflectors are Much smaller than I thought they would be. I was envisioning 3 P60’s,……….ehhhhhhhhhhhh…Not!

The lens measures 15.85 mm inside the bezel, outside bezel reads 21.80 mm.
The head itself comes in at 49 mm, overall length is about 165. It will tailstand once you remove the lanyard

Amp draw stock on high was 2.25, after I braided the contact spring it jumped to 2.75 on high, 1.45 on Med and .50 on low. All preformed with a Sony 18650 charged at 4.18 volts.
Not bad for $15.99 shipped.
Doesn’t throw too shabby either, kinda surprised. Tint is bright white, has pwm on med and low.
Thin battery tube and not a lot of threads but they seem to hold well.
It has a blue led under the milky colored side switch that will flash after it is shut off or after you change battery. To shut off the finder beacon, simply hold down the button when in the off position until the switch glows blue and it will be out of beacon finder mode. No idea of current draw in that mode.

I did not have the courage to dis assemble the head, I started to tiwst a bezel and it looked like the emitter was going to spin with it so I stopped there.
Someone else can dissect this puppy.
Later,
Keith

Thanks for the report. I’m looking forward to getting mine to play with. I’ll take it all apart and do a quick review and let people know how mod-able it is.

can you take some beam shots? mines still in japan. lol

How about the emitters? Are they XML’s or XPE’s?

Sorry to miss that!
They are XPE.
Explains the throw I guess.
Modes are hi,med,low,fast strobe,sos,off.
All 3 leds run on all modes.
Thanks,

Keith

Does it have any sort of memory or next mode or return to high or what?

+1……

You have to cycle through the modes completely to turn it off, so It will always start on high.

got mine couple days ago… it was kind of fast coming from China
I was a little bit disappointed to find out it’s not XM-L T6 as advertised I was hoping a wider beam
so I play around with the head little bit and twisted to open… a bit of advise here… don’t open it unless you willing to solder it again :expressionless:
the LED is attached to each individual head, I kind of like the beacon mode… it is easier to find in the dark
I filed a complain with the seller regarding the LEDs and they offer me $4 refund in exchange with good rating
fair enough for me, they said they didn’t know the LEDs was XP-E… their supplier send it with XM-L on the box
but since I got it for $12… I can’t really complain about it, it’s definitely worth the money
now…if I only can open the driver, I’m almost certain we could do resistor mod on this light

6min left, they dropped it down $1 to $14.99.

Edit: Desktop is showing recurring listing, mobile is showing timed.

Edit: Edit: Found this listing for $13.86 (9 hours remaining on ‘sale’).

did eveyone like these? i’ve used mine several times and love the thing

Can you fix it so LEDs don’t come off with head ?

Hi,

I posted another thread about this light (Any info about this light (3 heads - UltraFire 3x 2000 Lumen)?), but unknown00101 pointed me to this one.

Has anyone disassembled this light successfully yet?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi,

Mine arrived today, and I can see what you all meant about the emitter spinning with the head, so I’m hesitant to try to remove it.

I measure about 2.17V on high on a TF 26650.

Also, does the head/switch part separate from the battery tube/body?

As some of you said, it’s quite bright, but I’d love to be able to remove the heads and update the emitters.
