After we all get these lights, I propose we start another thread showing the completed lights, dremel our own versions of the BLF logo in the side and show them off.

Again thanks for the fantastic effort and I'm still in. Not because I think Fasttech should get the order but because of the effort you have put in. Just remember guys 18sixfifty has already lost money on this deal from us not paying the correct fees.
After this buy goes through maybe there should be a discussion on how we deal with fasttech and there dishonesty. Lets keep this thread on topic about whether you are in or out to make 18sixfiftys life easier than what it is.
NP, I will keep my order, but definitely disappointed in fast tech and would not have ordered in the first place without the logo…I really don’t NEED another light like this. Ric does it but gets them wrong, and Fast tech will tell you it will until you order…not so great of choices here for logos! I guess on the bright side we wont get something odd accidentally.

Haha you never know with these things. Seems simple enough, but sellers/manufacturers may be unwilling because it changes things up. I’d prefer a blank host over one with that ugly UF logo, but I’m in regardless. This is just my intro to the flashlight world.
Still in 18650 and sorry for the issues. When suppliers change their quotes it puts the middle man in a bind no question. You are doing the right thing in keeping us informed good or bad. The BLF logo thing isn’t a big deal here since there isn’t anything unique or limited edition about these other than the logo and the price. I don’t include your mod work as not all the lights will have that. Thanks for all the time and effort you are spending to push this through.

The min. order of 200 is bad. I thought about an own group buy of the convoy C8 for a German forum and 50 pieces wouldn't be a problem, 100 maybe possible, 200 is to much. I have to find another shop, which could help with less quantity maybe Banggood oder Ric.
Thanks and I would say ask them if they could do 50 for the C8 but I asked them about the C10 and they said yes, so I don’t know how you could trust them to get it right. Bummer. What I don’t get is that practically every supplier I talked to on alibabba said 50 was no problem. They would say things like, “we have the machine here it can do 50 of them in an hour” or something like that. I had one place say they would print me a sample with our logo on it to look at. His price was too high or I would have taken him up on it, but it wasn’t supper high either. That is why I was wondering if their supplier sandbagged them. But you would think that they have some weight to push around. If I was them I would have called up that supplier and hollered at them till they agreed. Unless they are already on the outs with their suppliers?
It was their employee's mistake, they should have tried to offer something. Perhaps ask if we could commit to 100 or so, and they would make up the slack, order 200 and list them. We would probably buy them over the next several months, throw one in the cart every once in a while, plus new BLF members would likely like to be able to get a special edition offered before they joined. It would generate a lot of good will for FT here. Everyone makes mistakes, handling it better would have gained them a lot of friends.
That is pretty much what I sent in my reply this morning. What a note to wake up to! The only reason I’m still not supremely ticked off is that so many people on here have been so good about it and supportive.

Logo or not, the emitters, drivers, and hosts are marked down anywhere from 20-40%
Their regular listing of the C10 is $11.10, we got them for $8.56, pretty heft saving even though it’s for a host only
Yeah we got shafted on the LOGO…sux, but the “group buy” definitely did what it was meant to do…drive the price WAY DOWN…
Good job on you 18sixfifty, hell I say we get a crapton of stick on vinyl BLF logo’s stickers, yeah they aren’t as resilient as etched in…but they are still custom [but this is at a later date]
I will be able to build both the C10 hosts, and retrofit my UF 602B’s, AND have an extra emitter and driver left over…plus with the OSHPark FET drivers, I think I will be pretty much set…heck might even have enough for my first ever “give away”
