Payment Thread for C-10 BLF (Refunds sent because FT didn't honor their price)

I must of missed something here. Sorry guys. Did we pull the pin or did Farttech? There is a refund in my PayPal thanks.

Best I can tell, they altered the price, so quite rightly 6fitty pulled the pin.

I did, because after I placed the order, they decided that each shipping address was it’s own order and therefore they wouldn’t give the “wholesale” price on those orders. So the only order that would get the price they quoted me was the one for the mods I was doing. There were 12 people who wanted me to mod them for them. Because they were all shipping to one address they gave me the quoted price for that. Although they haven’t actually given me the refund on that either. So as of now I have still paid full price for that order as well.

I had to pay for the entire order at full price and then they were going to refund the difference. But they decided that they wouldn’t do the quoted price for the individual shipping address which was everyone but the mods. So I canceled the entire order and re-ordered just the stuff for the mods that I was having shipped to me. At least that way the people who wanted me to do a mod for them got that part.

I believe that you are being exceedingly polite with your wording. FT has made mistake after mistake here at your expense. lt has not gone unnoticed. If you can be honest in this public forum, apart from everything else, how much money are you out of pocket with this fiasco? One way or another FT has not heard the last of this. I feel for you and applaud your efforts and professionalism you have handled yourself during this debacle. Thanks.

Thanks, I’m not sure what I’m out total. But there were a few things, some of the paypal stuff depending on what country and also some from exchange rate things. But not a big deal compared with the time and aggravation. A few nice people kicked in money the first time to handle the paypal stuff, but I gave that money back with the refunds. I thought that was only fair, they didn’t kick in that money expecting it to not even go through at all.

Now two people have kicked in and that was very nice of them, but I’m not asking anyone to help.

I should have handled this better myself and ended this when the logo fell through. I should have known then that they wouldn’t get their act together. Although I was really surprised by the last nonsense. If people wanted to order these at full price they could do that without me as a middle man. What exactly would be the point to having a group buy at FULL PRICE!! Which is what they tried to do, they used me as a middle man to sell their stuff at full price. I would like to think it wasn’t intentional and just them not communicating. But considering that there were dozens of communications back and forth I don’t know how. I think they really just tried to low ball me and everyone else, thinking that after it was all ordered I wouldn’t back out. I’m glad they didn’t get the logo done now, because if they had I know I would have footed the bill for it and let it slide just so everyone could have a cool light.

Well I think that is for everyone to decide on their own. For many Fast Tech is kind of the least of many evils. They simply have some things that you can’t get anyplace else at their prices. I will be looking for someone else to do business with that is for sure. I couldn’t stand Wallbuys at first because of the nonsense they pulled with me and others. Now I wish they were around more on here and would just figure out that they can’t spam people or set up shills.

I know I’ll be tossing more business to the people who are more reliable like RMM’s store and a few others. What I would like is one stop shopping for drivers and emitters. The lights I can almost always find deals on.

Got a Refund. Thanks for Time, Effort, Hassle, + Loss of $. FT has Shot themselves in the Foot on this GB .How can we Contact FT Owners + Top Managment ? They need to know the Price they will Pay for this Screw Up.

I’ve been doing most of my business with RMM, he even suspended my account for 3 days once to let me regroup. :slight_smile: lol Seems like everytime I order something, he stocks something else I find myself needing and have to order again. Maybe I should start an RMM shopping list and “go to town” once a month…

It’s all his fault, riigght. :wink: I had already ordered a C8 from him so when the logo thing fell through it was more of a let down than just the good deal. Is there a corollary to buyers remorse when you find you didn’t spend money?

Mountain Electronics has been quite the blessing for us. I just placed another order with RMM myself. Since the group buy fell through, I needed new parts for my son to build his first flashlight. As a budding flashaholic with a little bit of prior soldering experience, he’s very excited to build a flashlight. He even asked me to let him know when the order ships so he can watch the mail. I figure a Convoy C8 will be a nice substitute for the BLF C-10 he was originally going to build.

LOL Fast Tech is such a joke. They even overcharged me on the lights I ordered to get modded. I’m not asking for any money just pointing out what a messed up bunch they are. The original price was 50 but that was for the Logo. Ten was all that was needed for the “wholesale” price. But hey they did charge me 2 cents less for the emitters. I’m expecting them to fix it. So again don’t send me any money for this, I got it.

I’m just posting this so people will know what to expect if they try to order in bulk from them.

I’ll talk at you later and figure out exactly how you want them modded. They are on the way with the rest of the lights. Once they show up we can figure out what to do with them to get them set up good. Sometimes I will do a mod and then see the beam profile and change my mind and go with a different emitter. So I can send you picks and if you don’t like it I can just put in a different one. I kind of like doing that anyway that way I know for the future what to do with one if I decide to buy one and mod it for myself.
