I just got my notice today. I will hang in there, it is 2 year old money anyway, from a store credit. The reason I still had it all this time as there was never a compelling reason to order anything from DX. Yes, to me, they are THAT bad.
Why would you wait that long? Give them up 45 days like any other order with any vendor and make sure you file a dispute before the window closes. If they've shipped or not is their problem. They're contractually obligated to fulfil orders within the time provided by Paypal orders. They could cancel on their own if they wish.
interesting…if you order 2 or more it’s free shipping… but alas it’s output of so-so for few bucks more you can get securitying and probably more brighter than this light, but the price is definitely worth it as it has XM-L2 LEDS in it…
it’s like buying the LEDs and get the host for free
hmm… anybody ever tried using modified securitiying driver on these light?
If I am not mistaken the securitying is 3 x XM-L T6 light and this is a 6 x XM-L2 T6 light…. If the driver is modifiable it should outperform the securitying easily.
We don't care anymore if the stock driver is modifiable or not, stick an 105C FET in there and let it rip. You can fit the 105C FET driver is just about anything (check out the OSHPARK projects thread). The bigger issue is whether or not it has an actual shelf instead of just the MCPCB hanging there.
I received the ‘awaiting restock’ mail on March 23&28th. Today I checked the status at the portal and it sais:
It’s a fact that the inventory administration and communication of DX is a mess. I also ordered 4x NCR18650A’s that were advertised on the website to be shipped within 72 hours. This is 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for response on a ticket I opened almost a week ago. :~
Well it's a good thing I didn't cancel the order as DX now show it as shipped, with tracking number. I ordered 2, so I can keep one stock for comparison and muck around with the other.
