[Sold out] 8 Purple Samsung ICR18650-28A $10 shipped

Why would you ever wanna do that? The vendor might try to take advantage of us BLF'ers if he knew beforehand. He would not have had the sale if he didn't want to move the product!

Ordered one, thanx!!

There are 3 ghostly stamps visible beneath the wrapper.

Does not seem to jive with Ubehebe’s decryption, but perhaps someone can interpret?

4 of those back to back is $40+, or would I be better just soldering and using this

Protection Circuit Module (PCM) with Equilibrium Function for 7.4V Li-Ion Battery Pack

with shipping it only comes to $22 and it would also BALANCE the batteries. Would this not be better for building a 16x18650 battery pack? Can that PCM with equilibrium even handle 16x18650 wired to it?

I was a small business owner too. Sometimes you put things on sale at a loss to get people in the store where they will also buy regularly priced merchandise… But this is more brick and mortar store mentality.

I don’t think he would taken advantage of anyone. He has a lot of ASUS stuff and more than likely just needed to move this inventory. I’m just empathizing for when he runs out of shipping supplies this morning!

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I'm sure Fedex will provide him with all the shipping supplies he needs!

Thanks for the deal! Baught 1, but have no idea for what I will use the cells. Oh well.

Great find Siskiyou. Bought 2. Thank you.

Thanks Siskiyou, got one.

hmmm… I wonder if he have enough in his stock to cover all the orders? he might be away for a day not realizing how much was sold during the past few hours J)

psh of course i bought two.

i just got shipping notification

Looks like he shipped USPS even though the description said FedEx. I don't blame him, not sure if he would have even made money using Fedex

Demi god I can’t stop loling at your avatar

I even had to buy a few of these for myself! These are a great buy to give to friends and family with lights. I bought some Acer packs a while back with these in them and the cells are an excellent value.

What’s the first step in unpacking this pack, and what are the minimum tools you need?

The first step is to drink a beer and make sure all minors are out of earshot. This was one of the more frustrating packs I have operated on.

My toolset was pliers, tin snips, pocket knife, and a lot of patience. You can probably get by with just pliers and a screwdriver. This the easiest entry point on this one was the connector base, cracked it with the pliers and went from there. Some of it peeled off like an orange, some was snipped off using the tin snips between the 2 rows of cells. It just takes persistence an attitude that saving money by doing this is actually fun!

Be very careful not to short anything. As soon as I can I snip the wires off the PCB so I don’t accidentally make any short circuits. Also with pliers there is a tendency to lever them against a battery while peeling off the casing and solder tabs. Try not to do this because you can tear the shrink wrapped lining.

Seriously though, leave the beer for afterwards. I’ve bloodied my hands many times in the excitement of pulling laptop cells. Be careful and be safe & you’ll be happy you picked these up. BTW, there are lots of thread on BLF on how to do this, check their good advice!

Think you summarized well!

Gloves are cheap.

Just ordered 1 pack to power a supfire m6. Thanks for the heads up
