Looks like he shipped USPS even though the description said FedEx. I don't blame him, not sure if he would have even made money using Fedex

I even had to buy a few of these for myself!  These are a great buy to give to friends and family with lights.  I bought some Acer packs a while back with these in them and the cells are an excellent value.

Mountain Electronics : batteries, Noctigon, and much more! What's new?

What’s the first step in unpacking this pack, and what are the minimum tools you need?

The first step is to drink a beer and make sure all minors are out of earshot. This was one of the more frustrating packs I have operated on.

My toolset was pliers, tin snips, pocket knife, and a lot of patience. You can probably get by with just pliers and a screwdriver. This the easiest entry point on this one was the connector base, cracked it with the pliers and went from there. Some of it peeled off like an orange, some was snipped off using the tin snips between the 2 rows of cells. It just takes persistence an attitude that saving money by doing this is actually fun!

Be very careful not to short anything. As soon as I can I snip the wires off the PCB so I don’t accidentally make any short circuits. Also with pliers there is a tendency to lever them against a battery while peeling off the casing and solder tabs. Try not to do this because you can tear the shrink wrapped lining.

Seriously though, leave the beer for afterwards. I’ve bloodied my hands many times in the excitement of pulling laptop cells. Be careful and be safe & you’ll be happy you picked these up. BTW, there are lots of thread on BLF on how to do this, check their good advice!

I’m the smart Lemming that got in on this deal before the seller revised his auction and now charges $11.17 for shipping. Silly

they shipped mine all in 1 package that should cost them some $$ in their shipping cost.
so i doubt it very much they make profits out of these sale.. or maybe they haven’t anticipate about BLF community buying them like crazy in 1 day alone

Holy wow…
This was like throwing an animal into a shark tank.
Part of me was quite amused at the resulting feeding frenzy, another part is feeling a bit of remorse for the vendor, especially seeing the new post sale price. I am curious to see the amount sold after the dust settles, it was 22 before I posted.

Enjoy your batteries everyone, but please be careful removing them from the packs. I’ll look forward to some stories and photos of the carnage!

LOL..90 units were sold April 3.

That sure got sellers attention. Laughing

Now at over $40 a pop shipped...I doubt the sales will continue.

Well I’ll be darned. Is the sale back on or am I having a problem with my browser cache? If it is back on on someone else’s computer let me know and I’ll remove the expired tag.

I wonder if I should contact him and let him know what is going on?

No!

It better not be back on! I managed to resist buying any but I just don’t know if I can hold out through another round. :ghost:

No, no, no.no.

Keep it away from me!

5 days? I’ll be foaming at the mouth before getting through 5 days.

Your eyes are mistaken. There is no sale. In fact it was never there to begin with either.

This seller probably sold more in the last 2 days than he sold in the last 4 years carrying this battery lol.

I should have my first order of 2 packs before this sale runs out. If mine test good, I might just get a few more.
