Forward clicky for HD2010

Just got an HD2010 and planned to swap in a forward clicky since I knew the tail PCB was 20mm but the switch is way different. Is there a spacer/adapter I can make for the standard forward clicky to work or some other solution?

I’m going to be running ~7A threw it so hopefully I can get one of those standard switched to work since I can take them apart and make all copper parts/contacts for those.

This is not a forward clicky but for all intents it does not matter. This is how I assemble all the switches that I make for lights.

The first picture is all the parts that make it work. The switch here is a Tofty 10 amp switch I put in this tailcap which just so happens to be from a HD2010.

And this is how it looks all together. I use a washer that is the right diameter to fit in the housing and drill the centre hole out to fit over the spigot on the clicky end. So the washer has the switch on one side and the boot on the other. The rubber nub is cut to length to suit. I hope this helps.

I’ve seen those around (been watchin the thread) but wasn’t aware they’re actually available. Where can I score one?

These are reverse clickys. If you PM Tofty I'm sure he would be happy to help you out.

Just got an order from RMM today that I added a 20mm forward clicky to so I could experiment with it. Had to shorten the switch button and the switch boot nub but other than that it was a direct swap (I desoldered the original switch from the OEM PCB and soldered the new one on, not simply swapped the whole thing.

Edit I’ve now rebuilt the internals of the forward clicky with copper parts following [i believe] O-L’s lead.
