Thanks for that picture! Now I can pull it up whenever someone criticizes my flashlights and say “see, I’m not THAT bad”
’cuse me, I didn’t know who I was dealing with!
I bookmarked the pic with the same idea
Sometime ago there was a thread where members showcased their collections. One member filled a 3 or 4 shelves corner cabinet. That may rival this collection.
Holy-F....!!! man. Which one would you say is your favorite?
And so many SRK!!!
Lastly don't be a partial tease, show us your bike light collection too!!!
The SRK's and Clones are really what show off a Collection of Sorts.
Kudos.
Thanks!
what about a Post where you sum up some Infos about pulling cells from Laptop batteries?
the Math - good manufacturers - how to open them …
maybe a list which cells has been found in which battery
and so on…
I was thinking the same thing if there was enough interest, but as blfdemigod can attest my math is sometimes a bit fuzzy…
Noob Question
What Dremel attachment is best for deburring the pulled cells?
I used the one seen here, then buffed and polished it to a nice shine with the cotton attachment!
Atbglenn, are those 4 batteries the ones from the Asus pack that Crank posted a link to? Seems like every time I look into one of these pulls the seller is out of that model but they show in stock for $9.99 so it must be a different one…?

It's the pull from the $9.99 8 cell Asus battery pack everyone is talking about. I should have bought more, but this was the first time I ever bought a laptop battery pack to cannibalize for the 18650 cells. Turned out way better than I expected
D’oh!
I just ran one of these salvaged Samsung ICR18650-28A cells through my West Mountain CBA-II battery analyzer. With a fixed 2A discharge rate, I got 2.33 Ah, 8.26Wh.
I charged the cell on my Efest Luc V4 charger to about 4.2V.
My measurement is right in line with HKJs review , so these cells are still operating at pretty much 100% of their original capacity.
Thank you, Siskiyou, for sharing this deal.

Thanks for confirming that we hit the 18650 jackpot, the motherlode, the holy grail!!! Highly doubt this deal will ever be beat!
we cleaned him up… he sold 163 in few days after this post

before I grabbed these I snagged 4 packs for 40$ from the original thread last year . the difference was the other pack was a 6 cell pack total was 1.66 per cell while these were 1.25 prior the best deal was probably the reverand jim panasonic 2200 mah for 1.75 .
I didn't need more of these .... but at this price the only mistake is not buying more than you need.
You could have 48 of these batteries
or ....
8 panasonic 3400's
8 x 3400= 27,200
48 x 2800= 134,400
5 times the power for the same money
6 times the number of cells
3 times as many war wounds
2 times as much fun
1 time opportunity
For me these were probably the best deal for battery packs 6 Panisonic 2900mah Batteries for $10
I still use them in my Enb and coollook
yeah I remember that… I bought 2 of those laptop packs… inside is 6 grey panasonic 2900 mAh
BTW, has anyone gotten feedback from this guy yet?
